Clear orange beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: yeasty, orange peel, ripe fruits, some banana, bit dusty. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, bit oxidized, card board, lots of banana, yeast. Aftertaste: little bitter, some almonds, orange peel, oxidized, banana peel, very yeasty.
bottle from Calais Vins, tasted together with cheeses from the North of France, e.g. Sablé de Wissant. Hazy straw golden colour, mid-sized white head. Fruity aroma. Spicy hops with some good, sweet malts with a shy fruity touch - this really is a good companion for cheese. Very nice beer. Hansen (8595) - Assentoft, DENMARK - JAN 27, 2012
Dark yellow coloured and hazy. Has tiny particles. White head, mostly lasting. Aroma is heavy malty, light bread, moderate yeasty. Flavor starts heavy sweet and finish light bitter. Cremy texture and soft carbonation. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 12, 2008
Enjoyed with a nice French goat cheese. Initially pours with a creamy head, some chill haze in the yellow body. Retention is good. Taste is slightly sweet with a bit of coriander, melons and grapes. I had know idea this was a witbier, it tastes like a much darker beer than it appears. Very rich with alcohol and yeast. A bit dry in the mouth. The beer is a nice complement to the cheese. Towards the end of the bottle the pour becomes much cloudier with the yeast. Sent in a picture. Geokkjer (7627) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 22, 2011

Medium offwhite head. Hazy amber body with carbonation. Wooden vanilla and cheese aroma with raspberry notes. Dryish spicy seedes of paradise, caramel and sugary malts taste with buttery grassy spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, buttery mouthfeel. Dryish spicy buttery vinous honey aftertaste with caramelly herbal notes. Nice, interesting, and unusual. (0.75l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen, last year.) A Mes rate: bottle thanks to Tom.Zita (6325) - Assentoft, DENMARK - FEB 3, 2012
Heavy yeast on the nose, some sugar and maybe a little pear. Murky yellow orange with a thin white film topping. Flavour is similar. Yeasty and spicy. Fairly dull but very drinkable. Alcohol is well hidden. Erm, yeah!
toast, bread, cloudy, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, soft fizzy finish. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 27, 2005
Cloudy gold, raising a nice 1cm foamy keeper proposing light and elegant lacing. Slightly tart, soft orange and zesty citrus nose, softly spicy yeastiness pairing along weirder grassy influenced vinegar eggs and ice cream reminding flavors. Natural wheatiness making it akin to cereals. Pepper and curacao oriented yeast hints while hops add a spiciness of their own, lemony. Grainy, desserty and with a cheesestick fit that sets it apart. Effervescent big bubbled light-medium body. Most interesting. One of those event-worthy never heard of, could be gimmicky, beers that can’t but give you absolutely 0 expectation, but come up as far above average and confirms you’re in the right business as a beer seeker.
