From old notes, tasted with Curtis and some friends in Nashville, probably some time near the summer of 2012. Pours clear orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to uneven, average lace. The nose is caramel malt forward with a nice hit of resin, tropical fruit, and citrus hops. The flavor is much sweeter than I’d prefer with all of the nice hops taking a back seat, but adding nice bitterness. The body is full and oily with average carbonation and a long bitter and tropical fruit hops finish. BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - FEB 23, 2014
Bomber as an extra in a trade. Thanks! No bottle date but I assume this is on the old side. Oh well a tick is a tick. Pours murky orange with a small off white head on top. Aroma leads me to believe this is a huge malt bomb, some orange rind, caramel, needy malts, toffee, dank citrus sweetness in there. Flavor is light orange peel and toffee, medium bitter, not too aggressive. Overall relatively pleasant. Dank and resinous mouthfeel, lighter mouthfeel than expected given the big malt aroma. Pretty decent APA, if a bit old. Plenty of flavors to go around. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 8, 2014
375ml bottle, shared by phaleslu at RBWG grand tasting 2014. Hazy amber orange red brown color. Thin ring of khaki head. Couple dots of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, lightly soft, lighter carbonation. Awesome bigger sour taste, light sweet.. Not too sweet. Nice dark fruit, cherry, light wood, hint of chocolate. Excellent sour brown red ale. 22oz bottle. This lost something after the few months it sat in the fridge before I was able to open it. Muted and a little musty maybe, it seems like it would of been pretty tasty fresh. (2672) LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - DEC 21, 2012

Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a spicy hop and light fruit. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet hop and light toasty malt. Easy to drink a very good IIPA from Karl Strauss. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 8, 2012

Tap. Pours a nice golden orange color with a white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with lots of pineapple and tropical fruits, some orange, tangerine and grapefruit. The flavor is just dominated with fruity pineapple and some tropical fruit notes, the orange and tangerine and some peach. The body is medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall a really tasty San Diego style hoppy brew! Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - JUN 16, 2012
