Sweet vanilla nutty taste. Some roast. Looks like a brown. Not really getting any almond so I’m not sure what it contributes. Still very good.
Dark brown with a brown tint and a cream color head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate and light almond nuttiness. Flavor is rosted malt , with vanilla, toffee, chocolate and a light almond flavor. A kind of salty background flavor. Hoppier finish than I expected. Over carbonated. There’s a nice sweet almond background flavor that I really like in this beer but the carbonation really hurts this beer a lot. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2014
This one poured a darker brown with a beige head. Aroma was of lactose, milk chocolate and light nutes. Flavor actually came through with lightalmonds and some ovaltine, very light in opaqness and color. Art (3219) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 19, 2014
On tap at Hough’s. Pours a clear medium brown/amber color. One of the lightest porters I have drank. Aroma is of light almond and roasty nuttiness. Taste has a light sweet almond flavor to it. Very light body for 7% abv. bb (9695) - Alamo, California, USA - APR 12, 2014
Draft. Brown beer with a dark cream head. Caramel and light chocolate aroma. Caramel and chocolate flavor with light nuttiness. Medium bodied. Caramel and chocolate lingers with light lactose. mansquito (6720) - Nueva York, New York, USA - APR 6, 2014
The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma is almond, chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Taste is quite nutty, with minimal bitterness. Body is smooth and ridiculously easy to drink. I like it.

3/22/14. Draft at Surf Club. Pours brown with a hint of red. Minimal ecru head. Nutty notes but hard to pick out almonds. Smooth end of porter. No bitterness (take that bitter American!)

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that faded quickly and left no lacing. the aroma was faint with notes of roasty malts, vanilla and cola. The flavor was roasty and toasty wood, vanilla, chocolate and cola. Medium length finish. Light to medium body but undercarbonated. Disappointing. odinstyr (817) - Hamilton, New Jersey, USA - MAR 5, 2014
