12 oz can poured into a pint glass. A: Pours an amber color with tiny specks of yeast floating around. The head is a creamy two finger offwhite shade. While retention isn’t the greatest, I love the texture and the lacing it leaves behind. S: The hops have faded a bit on this one, but it still provides hints of pine and grapefruit. There’s a lot of caramel and toffee malt featured here, as well. Decent aroma here. T: I first notice some minor piny hop flavors to start, before it washes away with a lot toffee-esque malt. The finish is earthy with touches of fruity esters (unheard of in an American IPA, it seems); to the point where one could mistake the back end for excess booziness. The earthy nature of the malts aren’t my cup of tea, but it’s okay otherwise. Seems to be a bit more complex than many others in the style. M: It’s well attenuated for all of its maltiness, creating a fairly dry brew in spite of the faded hops and creamy feel. There is a bit of lingering sweetness on the front of the palate, which is expected. O: Gotta love a canned IPA, even if this one isn’t fantastic. I’ll have to give this a second chance fresh.

A hoppy bear with a bitter (not unpleasant) aftertaste. It has a nice golden color a little bit lighter than most IPAs. Overall it's a very drinkable beer that I would have again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(12oz can) AROMA: strong on hops, green, citrus, some sharp malt too. APPEARANCE: Amber ale color, good head, oily linger TASTE: bold and hoppy, simple grains, strong and green hops, leafy, veggie/herbal, some alcohol. PALATE: good body, relatively strong, full in the mouth, flavors and bitterness linger. OVERALL: bold IPA, with full body and flavor.i enjoyed but this is one of those big/hoppy IPAs that can be too much (unless you like the push the envelope IPAs). I appreciated the quality and ingredients, but a bit unbalanced.

Can. Clear gold, white head. Honeyed aroma with mandarins, some pine. Medium bodied, medium to high carbonation. Sweet with quite strong bitterness oozing through to overcome the sweetness. Citrus aromatics are a little muted by the sweetness, but there’s lie along with the mandarin. A nice moderately dry finish with citrus and a little pine. Cheerful and tasty, but maybe doesn’t quite offer enough for 7%.

Clear orange color with off-white head. Aroma has sweet citrus fruits like oranges, tangerines and a slightly dank note. Taste starts with the sweet citrus fruits backed up my some malts, gets more floral in the middle and finishes with medium bitterness. Medium body with soft carbonation ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Copper, hazy, stable head. Pine hops, golden malts, nice malty sweetness to balance the inherent bitterness. Good full palate, tasty. (33cl can at Caroline’s in Berkeley)
