Tinny taste coming from the can. But for an ipa the hop freshness is released as soon as the can is popped. Floral hops, piney resisn, birch trees, dried sap, and some grapefruit. Frothy head resinates and holds stable as the brew settles. Orange highlights make up most of the color with a splash of burnt gold and hay. Aftertaste is metallic, hoppy, and malty. This is a cool brew to drink and to have. Thanks Gonkified.

From a can. A pleasant surprise, this is a tasty, easy drinking IPA, nothing crazy.

A smooth and bitter IPA. One of the few good canned beers that I can get easily.

Can from Safeway poured into a tumbler. Drank in SF whilst staying at the Beacon. Clear dark orange with small white head. Smells of quite strong caramel malt, bubble gum esters, moderately piny and spruce/grass hops. Body is oily, touch of malty/doughy sweetness, mostly bitter, light carbonation. Decent, good malt/hop balance (though malt is a bit strong/doughy in the nose).

12 oz. can. Clear copper orange with a frothy two-finger white head and excellent lace. Aromas of floral and grassy hops, pine, toast and bread. Modest grassy hop bitterness, with a muted toasted malt sweetness. Light to medium body, gentle carbonation, creamy smooth mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish.

Poured from a 12 oz can with a best by date of 11/11/2016. Aroma is hop forward with a lot of grapefruit, pine resin, and dank notes. Medium malt notes with cracker, toasted bread and some lighter caramel. A hint of alcohol. Pours a fairly clear, pale, golden orange with a medium sized, thick, white head that slowly recedes to a thin film that lingers. Moderate lacing and no legs. Flavor has a moderate sweetness with cracker, toasted bread and some light caramel malt notes. Medium high bitterness and a hint of alcohol spice with a fairly dry finish. Medium strong hop notes with a definite woodiness, but also some grapefruit and pine resin. Hints of other citrus and fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but present alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty boring IPA. Too malty and the hop profile is old fashioned and woody as opposed to fruity and tropical. It is a clean beer though.
