BREW FREE! OR DIE IPA is brewed with some serious west coast attitude. This aromatic golden IPA starts with three different hops to the nose, quickly balanced by a solid malt backbone supporting the firm bitterness. Our top selling beer at the pub, this IPA starts big and finishes clean leaving you wanting more.

I love "tasty-crack cans," yet I was a bit disappointed by this beer. After trying Back in Black and Bitter American I had high expectations for a clean, hop-forward beer that werent really met. It starts out great with a beautiful brilliant brass-colored body and lots of foam. Aroma is lightly pineapple-y but dominated more by malt than anything else. And flavor is similar, malt forward with hops playing a supporting role. Maybe my example was a touch old, but I would think the can packaging would extend the shelf life of this beer quite a bit. Still, I didnt really think the prominence of malt in this beer was appropriate for an American IPA nor to my taste. Mouthfeel was pretty good. Not bad, just not what I was expecting.

A smooth and bitter IPA. One of the few good canned beers that I can get easily.

Can from Safeway poured into a tumbler. Drank in SF whilst staying at the Beacon. Clear dark orange with small white head. Smells of quite strong caramel malt, bubble gum esters, moderately piny and spruce/grass hops. Body is oily, touch of malty/doughy sweetness, mostly bitter, light carbonation. Decent, good malt/hop balance (though malt is a bit strong/doughy in the nose).

12 oz. can. Clear copper orange with a frothy two-finger white head and excellent lace. Aromas of floral and grassy hops, pine, toast and bread. Modest grassy hop bitterness, with a muted toasted malt sweetness. Light to medium body, gentle carbonation, creamy smooth mouthfeel and a crisp dry finish.
