Pours a nice golden color with a white head. Head foams down somewhat quickly and doesn’t leave too much lacing behind. Nose is nice with apricot, citrus, lemon, and other unspecified stone fruits. A bit of residual sugars come through, but are more apparent in the flavor, which also adds in a bit more yeasty esters. Mouhfeel is moderate with pretty good carbonation. A fairly good American example of the style.

Draft. Pours a golden body with a soft white head. Fruity dry with wheat tones, tastes a bit like bubble gum and citrus with a modest warming. Really messy if you ask me, first time 21st let me down. Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - OCT 27, 2010
Tap at Bier Stein. Poured a clear gold with a thick foamy white head and quite a bit of lacing. Smelt of coriander, light citrus and yeast. Tasted mainly of spices (coriander, pepper) and yeast, with a slight bit of citrus and floral hops on the back end. Average beer at best. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 9, 2010
Pale golden pour with a tight white head. The nose is lightly spicy with a fairly fruity component. The banana that is typical of American versions is quite restrained. A little bit of apricot and some bubble gum as well. There is a slightly watery character that is a bit odd. Light tartness along with a bit of something like DMS... the more of this I drink, the less I like it. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - SEP 18, 2010

Draft at Toad in the Hole in New Belgium glass. Clear deep gold with medium white head and streaming bubbles. Toasty, bilious, slightly tropical aroma. Nice malt stuff has a formidable stack of acidic weirdness, hop character, and kooky esters to stand down. It works ok, just not very coherent. Some nice perfumey stuff comes up after the swallow. This beer is a conundrum, but overall its character is mostly redeeming. Drake (13738) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 2, 2010
Sampled on draft at the World Beer Festival Richmond, 6/12/10. Pours a clear golden color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. The aroma is very fruity, including banana, citrus and tropical fruits, as well as yeast and bubblegum. The taste is spicy hops, spices, bubblegum and some dry fruit notes. Medium bodied. Quite drinkable. Nice beer. bluemooner (657) - East Bethel, Minnesota, USA - JUN 25, 2010

Draft at WBF Richmond: Little aroma. Clear golden. Light apple flavor, grassy finish. Not as multi-dimensional as I hoped.
