On tap at 2SP. Pours a slightly hazy deep copper color with a thin off white head that fell quickly to a cap. Aroma of bready malts, light caramel and roastiness. Taste has roasty caramel malt with a slight woodiness, under a mild bitterness of floral hops and mild spice. On tap at Belmont Station. Colour...dark amber with a minimal head. Nose...lightly roasted malt, spent grain and Carnation malted milk powder. Palate...generous CO2, a slight tanginess and then a massive wave of malt sirop and boiled sweets. Toffee and butterscotch come along on the finish and then a slight bit of bitterness. Cloudy amber with a small off-white head with light lacing. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts. Flavors of toasted malts and sweet caramel
Ok, sweet and malty
Pours a hazy brown with a finger of tan head. Aroma is sweet and smoky. Taste is very smooth with a good oaky vanilla feel to it. Very good Diane.

Draft @ brickstore. Pours a slightly unclear brown with smaller beige head. Smell is thick caramel malts, some minor fruitiness. Taste is heavily malt driven with a slight fruity undertone, big caramel, slight vanilla. Smooth finish. Perhaps too much of a one dimensional brew and whilst I love me some 21st Amendment, this was most likely one of my least favorites.

On tap 6 oz. pour at Old Line Wine's The Bistro in Beltsville, MD.
A barely clear light mahogany with an off-white head and fair lacing.
Aroma of toffee, red wine, brown bread and raisins.
Taste of brown bread, roasted malt, pepper, spice floral hops and dark fruit. The bitter and sweet flavors feel like they are more in competition than in balance.
Medium body and low/medium carbonation.

Tasted on tap at the 8th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/9/2011. This Imperial ESB pours a slightly cloudy medium brown amber color from the firkin. The aroma is malty, sweet with some wood and bourbon. A medium to full bodied ESB. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal. Lots of bourbon flavors present, but not overpowering. Nicely balanced. Soft carbonation. The wood chips/bourbon works extremely well with this beer, the ‘firkinazation?” and wood/oak combine for a very tasting beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
