I've never thought that anything canned or screw capped means it's of lesser quality, and this is a testament to that.. While it is by far not the best stout in the world, though it's definitely not the worst. I have to admit, this beer has a pronounced chalky, inky, saline quality that is no doubt attributed to the oyster shells.. Although that chalky, inky, saline quality is dominated by dark fruit, mild rum raisin and mild, sweetened coffee on the palate.. Medium-medium-plus bodied.. Smooth and creamy.. Not bad for a affordable, big production, widely distributed, canned oyster stout... Not bad at all.

Sweet and chocolate-y. Silky roastiness, sweet cocoa, filter coffee, dark malts, alcohol spiciness and a bit of molasses. Slightly bitter and a bit of sea salt in there. PugUglyBrewer (763) - - AUG 8, 2017
A opaque black color with a short-lived head of light tan foam. The aroma is weakly comprised of chocolate malt. The flavor is a silky but dry roast coffee and cocoa. The oyster shell is more of a gimmick than a contributor to the style. elihapa (1554) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - JUL 18, 2017
can, $2.99. Pours medium brown, off white head shows good retention. Smoky, pencil lead, medium dark chocolate and hazelnut on nose. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. Flavor lands softly, threading toasted brown malt notes with something darker and more earth driven. Perhaps the salt in the oysters brings richness, though I didn’t detect any distinctive flavor notes. I don’t know if this is worth seeking out for that reason, but the brew remains very satisfying overall Voodoo (694) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 20, 2017
pours a near black with a creamy tan head which dissipated quickly......aroma of chocolate, mineral, slight coffee ground......taste is very smooth with a full mouthfeel, mild bitterness, appearance of booze, sweet bread, hint of mineral. Quite nice. Torrefacto (1726) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAY 17, 2017
Toffee, chocolate, galleta, ligero ahumado. En boca el final es de amargor quemado equilibrado.
