On tap at the brewery. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, some light coffee, doughiness, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same but a little too sweet for me. Smooth texture. A pretty good chocolate stout. blipp (9590) - La Mesa, California, USA - NOV 20, 2011

Dark black in color clear with a thick dark malt roasty and chocolate aroma. Lots of coffee and dark malt flavor this was a great stout.

My Bottom Line:Aquilo (658) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUN 25, 2010
Chocolate and roasted malts evolve in a rather lean body until peppery hops and their bitterness conclude this affable pint.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the dark brown with auburn hues.
-The roasted malts and peppery hops provide pleasurable bitterness.
-This is not creamy enough to be a Stout.. but it’s crisp, bubbly and engaging nonetheless.
-Subtle fruitiness roams within.
-The flavour profile is balanced throughout.
On tap at the brewpub.
