A: The pour is a milky dark brown/chestnut color with a very minimal off-white head.
S: The nose is sort of light in terms of intensity, but what’s there is good. A mild roasted malt character, some subtle spice esters, as well as hints of oranges, chocolate, and wheat.
T: A good, sweet, wheat flavor along with coriander and orange peel. A nice sweet bready flavor along with some undertones of chocolate.
M: The body is medium with a soft, low level of carbonation.

...on tap at the pub. Looked almost black in the glass, a small off white head, a little lacing. Nose basically a wit, orange, some dark spiced fruit. Flavors were yeasty, wheaty, nice and flavorful. Nice dark brown with a creamy of white head. Good aroma of corriander orange and chocolate. With a similar taste and a purfumey floral finish. Quite good.

On tap at 21st Amendment. Pours pretty damn close to black with a large bubble off-white head. Not much lacing to speak of. Aroma is somewhat faint but pleasant, with wheat, yeast, banana, citrus, and coriander. Flavor is wheat, banana, bubblegum, orange peel, coriander and other spice, some caramel and chocolate. Aroma: Spices, dried fruits, yeast
Taste: Belgian candy, roast, yeast

A witbier with dark malt? I love it already! Color is red-brown, and so dark it’s almost black. I love the head, it’s very bubbly, and leaves some nice looking lace. Aroma is A bit on the funky side. The caramel aroma almost seems to clash with the bubblegum yeast aroma. I was hoping for some banana aroma, but I can’t detect it at all. Flavor is nice and mellow, lightly sour, not much bitterness. Appearance: Pours an iced tea brown with a pin stripe of white head.
Aroma: Fruity, spicy yeast, and some smokey roasted malt.
Taste: Spicy Belgian yeast, toast and a touch of orange zest.
Mouthfeel: Thin and fizzy.
Overall: A brown wit beer?? I will give it much credit, it had plenty of character.
