COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didn’t expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. We’re sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter.

Can. Pours a hazy golden orange color with white head. Floral, spicy, yeasty aromas. Spicy, flowery, yeasty, malty, soapy flavors. I’m not a fan of the spices in this one.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow from the can with dissipating white head that leaves good lace. Aroma of nice farmhouse yeast with lemon esters, hay, and slight wheat. Taste follows with a hint of earth and funk, slight bitterness. Bubbly carbonation, solid for a canned beer.

Pours hazy gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Lemon and yeast aromas. Sweet hay and yeast upfront turning to bitter earth and lemon in the medium length finish.

Let me start by saying that I don’t care for saison. Draft. Straw yellow with a white head. Sweet, funky, yeastie straw aroma. Clove, yeast and dried banana flavors with a bitter finish.

Can. Yellow color with a white head. Fruity, malty, some grassy notes and a little bit of hops in the nose. Taste is smooth refreshing, and very easy to drink. Great beer for the 70 degree weather we have been experiencing. I liked it.

very refreshing. Have not tried from the can yet, only draft. A nice Belgian aroma. Maybe a tad too carbonated.
