COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didn’t expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. We’re sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter.

csaso (2319) - Missouri, USA - MAY 21, 2016
Can - average size foamy head, moldy hazy medium straw color, moderate lemon and orange (cardamom) aroma and flavor, wheat like backbone, good size fruity yeasty spice finish, pretty good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

sawbuck (748) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - MAY 17, 2016
Pepper, lemon, and some spices on the nose. Pale hazy gold color with a white head. Sweet up front, lemon and citrus blended with pepper and spices....mostly cloves. Sweetness fades quickly, some pilsner like qualities. Bitterness is dry and peppery, but balances sweetness well. Finish is mostly bitter, a bit uneven. O.k.

bnoel09 (588) - Elk Grove, California, USA - MAY 3, 2016
Poured from the 12oz can into a shaker glass. Pale straw color with a white head. Aroma is wheat and yeast. Flavor is similar with wheat, some yeasty notes, and some spiciness towards the finish. Medium bodied. Decent but the spice note has a bit of an odd flavor.

Light saison smell, taste is similar...little sweet on the front and a bit bitter on the back...one dimentional though...not greatest taste

glennmastrange (2895) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - APR 14, 2016
Tap. Moderate aromas all around with grain and bread for the malt, grass and lemon peel for the hops, musty basement, with faint spice in the background. Head is large, frothy, white with fair lacing and and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear, light amber. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, with a lively carbonation. Smells nice, tastes okay, but still a drinkable Saison.

Poured from a can. Hazy yellow. Thin white head. Yeasty aroma with some lemon zest. Very watery. Tastes a little spicy. Not a very good saison. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

vadie (1256) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 23, 2016
Jaune pâle avec un grand col blanc. L’arôme des épices et houblon florale. En bouche c’est très facile à boire, avec des épices sec et d’houblon florale qui met la bière en équilibre sans le rendre trop amer pour le style.

allmyvinyl (10819) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 19, 2016
Can at Craigs 2016 alldayer. Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon, light bready yeast, spice. Taste is more of the same. Dry, almost champagne-like finish.
