COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You might not expect a Saison in winter. But the enemy didn’t expect Washington to cross the icy Delaware, either. Expectations be damned, we say. We’re sneaking up on winter with a boatload of bravado and this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. Dry hopped with whole organic cardamom pods, our Saison has an assertive spiciness. In your face, winter.

The aroma is a mix of lemon and breadiness. Bright yellow hazy body with barely any head. Modest bitterness with puckering lemony feel and hint of yeasty breadiness. Lively carbonation. Tasty and enjoyable.

Can. Pours a light orange medium golden pour with an ephemeral white head. Nose is yeasty with funk and cardamon. Taste is sweet and spicy with yeast , funk, clove , cardamon and bubblegum. Finishes on the same sweet and spicy notes. Quaff Score 6 / 10

Aroma is spices, fruit and grainy malts. The flavor is fruit/berries, slightly grainy malts, Belgian yeast and a mix of spices and mild tartness in the finish.

Nice Saison aroma from a slightly hazy light/medium yellow body with a foamy white head. Lots of dry hay with a slightly spicy white pepper bite. Wheaty and light cracker malt background that is just right with the dryness of the taste. Finishes light and dry with a lasting hay and spice taste. Really nice Saison.

From BandC. Decent saison, didn’t really get a big flavor of the cardamom pods, but that is probably good, as a little goes a long way. Sweetened as it warmed. . Serving: Can

Crystal banana blonde body with a ring of head. Mildly clovey, earthy nose, and it repeats a similar sequence on the palate. Rather cookie cutter saison typical of today.
