This is just a great beer collaboration from some great brewing companies, and it is my favorite from 21st amendment. There is nothing there beer does wrong. Let’s start first with the color. It’s perfect. Yes I gave appearance a 5/5. It’s the most perfect dark copper color you ever did see. OK. next up is the taste. It’s amazing. Sweet and hoppy and warm with alcohol. It makes me happy. Lastly, the packaging is awesome. This matters. Buy a couple cubes and stick a red bow on the top. Makes a great christmas gift. Share the gift of good beer this holiday season. keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - DEC 24, 2011
Poured from a can canned on 10-26-2011 into a pint glass.pezman (20) - - JAN 14, 2012
A: Perfect. Dark, clear, amber with light amounts of carbonation bubbles meeting the beautiful creamy tan head. 1.5 finger thick head retained it’s shape for half the beer.
S: Light citrus and pine bitterness, delicate but very attractive.
T: Piney hops on the forefront with light grapefruit notes. Very mellow and balanced.
M: Medium body with plenty of fizzy carbonation.
O: This is a great beer. Very easy to drink and very well balanced. I will be buying this again.
Delicious caramel notes with underlying hoppiness. Great color, light amber head and just the right amount of bitterness in the finish.

This might be called an English Strong Ale, but it tastes like a well malted IPA. The head is big and chewy, the color is brown with fleks of orange. Nose is big floral hops. This is a fantastic beer! closey22 (2026) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - JUL 7, 2012
wow! Am I glad I tried this beer. Flavor is incredible balance of, in order or prominence, sweet rich malt, rippin drippin hops, tart fruit, hops and malt again then tart malt. Wow. Hitler and Tojo suck!!!!!!!

For me, I can’t help but compare this weird fusion by Ninkasi and 21st Amendment to an IPA; both breweries have such outstanding examples in Total Domination and Brew Free or Die!, I was expecting something more along those lines. It’s quite hoppy for an ale, ever so slightly sweet (not something I enjoy particularly). Almost no finish, but again, expecting that strong after-bite so familiar with IPAs. Good, not great, and not worth the $10 per 4 pack, but def. worth a try! DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 14, 2012
12oz can, canned on 10/26/11. A clear dark ruby color, and good dense khaki colored head. Great smooth texture, and light carbonation. Great lace. Kick-ass can art. Awesome fruit aroma, mixed with earthy hops. Lasts through the aftertaste, a bit. Delicious, sweet sort of wine-like taste. A fantastic beer that I hope I’ll see again some day. Poured from 12 ounce can.
A red-orange brown that's dark enough to be more translucent than clear. The pour produces a massive tan head that settles fairly quickly to leave a thin film and mass tons of beautiful lacing.
Aroma of Brown sugar, dark fruits, dates, caramel, pine and a little citrus.
Sweet taste with dark fruits, dates, brown sugar, caramel, toffee, pine and light citrus. Finishes with resinous pine hops.
Medium/full body and soft carbonation with a delightfully smooth mouthfeel.

From a 12oz can purchased at The BeerHive in Pittsburgh. Somewhat reluctant to purchase and drink due to the can, but was convinced by the owner of The BeerHive of the possible superiority of can versus bottle. Lots of complexities and a remarkable creaminess make a very pleasant and highly drinkable beer. Had a hard time tasting the dates but it may have been the food I had with it that night masking that flavor. Can’t wait to try this brewery’s other selections. Bought this for about $4 at State Line Liquors in Elkton MD. Poured into a Dogfish Head Signature Glass at 29 Degrees F.
A - I tried pouring as easily as possible but still got 4-fingers head out of this. The head color matches that of the beer. a deep amber and wood color that’s really very beautiful.
S - Lots of hops and really spicy malts in this one. Kiwi, mangoes and some figs are coming through. I’m getting some caramel and spruce notes.
T - The 52 IBU is very apparent but in no way overwhelming. It’s a medium bodied beer with tons of sugars, caramel, syrup, toffee. Very astounding. I’m getting Apples and some level of pine.
M - Nice level of foam hits when you swish around a bit.
O -I wasn’t expecting much but this collaboration completely blew me away! I should have bought more than one. Very delicious and very drinkable!
