Aptly named for the Brewmaster's Irish twin. A malty red-ale, served on nitrogen and dispensed on a slow faucet to impart the luck of the Irish though it's rich and creamy texture.

I was unimpressed with this brew. While I was writing this feedback I called the place I drank it at just to make sure it was the brew I drank. The person that answered unexpectedly insisted I talk to Scott, the person that brewed it; he was sitting at the bar. This is what I (sort of) told Scott; it was flat, bland, slightly sour, toasty, nutty, a faint, faint hint of cocoa, and toffee. Maybe he had a bad day, he sounded like a really good guy. Best of luck to the 21st.

Tap at the brewhouse. On nitro. Restrained malt and caramel notes. Hazy orange-amber with fluffy, very light tan head. Taste is malt and a little cut metal oat. Thin mouthfeel.

On tap at the brewpub in San Francisco. Pours a copper color with a small white head. A rich nose of floral hops, loads of caramel. A nice flavor of rich caramel, toasted malts, fruity and sweet.

Tap at the brewpub: Amber pour with a dense tan head. Simple one dimensional aroma of toasted caramel and diacetyl. Lightly chocolaty as well. Light (vacant) feel. Papery, diacetyl flavor. Sweet, buttery, not very pleasant. Vague and off.

BillKismet (4165) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 26, 2008
Nice red-tinged amber with gorgeous, creamy, guiness-like head. Mild toasy, nutty malt aroma. Creamy mouthfeel, definitely nitrogenated. Pleasant mesh of grain, nuttiness and light malt w. toasted character.
