COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Toaster Pastry is an absolutely fantastic India-Style Red Ale, clocking in at 7.6% ABV and 74 IBU. Biscuit malts give the beer a slightly nutty, crust-like flavor, while pale and dark crystal malts create the mouthfeel and flavors reminiscent of strawberry jam. Calypso and other experimental hops give this ruby ale a welcome bite, plus a few more in the hop back for a toasty-sweet aroma.

Can. Pours clear mahogany with a creamy, 2-finger, beige, fully lasting head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of caramel and pine. Starts out lightly sweet and evolves to a long bitter sticky finish. A bit too much carbo which is distracting. Well balanced. I’ll have it again.

Strawberry aroma, and a nice subtle strawberry taste. I get it. Bitter. Crusty. Starts off sweet than dries out, Thx Joey.

Mahogany appearance with a large beige head and light lacing. Aroma off light toast, shortbread and caramel malts. Taste diverts from the expectations of the aroma and lays down a solid foundation of spicy, floral, piney hops. Aftertaste stays on a bitter, hoppy course. Solid, balanced offering.

Pours deep amber in color with a medium off white head. Aroma is sweet with mango and pilsener-like malts. Taste is really nice with a mango-tropical flavor up front followed by various evolving grades of bitterness that kinda dance all over the place and go for a long finish. The mid does have a toasty quality to it as well. Like it!

Dogbrick (12919) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 30, 2016
Sample at the OTR Beerfest during Cincinnati Beer Week. Hazy copper color with a medium ivory white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of citrus, berries and hops. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, strawberry and crackery malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

This is a pretty tasty brew, good reddish-orange color, medium carb gives rise to a piney nose and a bready-malt hop heavy flavor. Great on the go or in a glass. Good work 21A.
