Toaster Pastry is an absolutely fantastic India-Style Red Ale, clocking in at 7.6% ABV and 74 IBU. Biscuit malts give the beer a slightly nutty, crust-like flavor, while pale and dark crystal malts create the mouthfeel and flavors reminiscent of strawberry jam. Calypso and other experimental hops give this ruby ale a welcome bite, plus a few more in the hop back for a toasty-sweet aroma.

Tall can pours clear red with substantial foam. Fruit and biscuit doesn’t scream toaster pastry which is good, but still the overall combination and bitter finish isn’t much to my liking.

Pours very hazy reddish amber with very little head. Nose is sharp floral hops with a little amber malt. Flavor is a solid balance of bitter hops and a fairly sweet malt. Finish is bittersweet and sticky with lots of lingering hops. Don’t understand the name but its a solid RIPA.

can @ House of 1000 Beers / New Kensington PA --- Aroma of malt and berry jam with hops. Clear dark ruby amber color, 3" beige head that lasts quite awhile, streaks of lace. Taste is sweet malt that moves smoothly through a medium carbonated swallow, to assertive, but, not overwhelming hops. Malt and hops finish. No berry in the taste. A balanced, enjoyable brew.

APPEARANCE- reedish, dark amber hue color. Nice white head with litrle lacing. NOSE- medium hop (not fruity/floral nor resin). FLAVOR- slightly sweet flavor. Some hints of biscuity maltiness. NOTES- pop tart is not the first thing I think about.

Ripe citrus fruits and peel; red orange color; orange hard candy with some jammy flavors, bittersweet and dry through the finish; medium body and average mouthfeel; pretty good, but not great and definitely not reminiscent of a toaster pastry. 12 fl oz can from Country Fresh in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Poured a red color with a beige head. Aroma was of caramel, nutty, stale hips. Flavor similar, sweet malt and stale. Bleh.

Tide (4756) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2016
Draught at Golden Gate Tap Room. Dark copper color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, hops, rye, pine, a bit of mango and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, hops, rye, pine and a bit of resin. Excellent IPA.

Can. Pours clear mahogany with a creamy, 2-finger, beige, fully lasting head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of caramel and pine. Starts out lightly sweet and evolves to a long bitter sticky finish. A bit too much carbo which is distracting. Well balanced. I’ll have it again.

Strawberry aroma, and a nice subtle strawberry taste. I get it. Bitter. Crusty. Starts off sweet than dries out, Thx Joey.

Mahogany appearance with a large beige head and light lacing. Aroma off light toast, shortbread and caramel malts. Taste diverts from the expectations of the aroma and lays down a solid foundation of spicy, floral, piney hops. Aftertaste stays on a bitter, hoppy course. Solid, balanced offering.
