COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Toaster Pastry is an absolutely fantastic India-Style Red Ale, clocking in at 7.6% ABV and 74 IBU. Biscuit malts give the beer a slightly nutty, crust-like flavor, while pale and dark crystal malts create the mouthfeel and flavors reminiscent of strawberry jam. Calypso and other experimental hops give this ruby ale a welcome bite, plus a few more in the hop back for a toasty-sweet aroma.

Upon first review I give this a perfect rating for uniqueness. The aroma is strawberry with malt flavors and aroma that make this a true pastry in a can that is beer! The luxurious garner color in the appearance is topped off by a plush off-white head. A real treat for an IPA style red.

Poured from a massive red 19 oz can. Pours dark amber with a cream colored head. Aroma is fresh, juicy, tropical fruits, pineapple, and citrus. Flavor is light, sweet, toasted malt with caramel. Followed by big tropical fruit flavors of pineapple and mango,Finishing with citrus peel bitterness. Big, fresh and fruity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a seriously good beer. The "pastry/pop tart" aspect is lost on me. Instead, what you have is a delicious red IPA with a very nice IBU and alcohol ratio. The malts offer a nice richness, while the hops don’t overpower the beer. Overall, deserve more attention despite the terrible name.

Awesome IPA! Granted I'm at a driving range so any beer might taste good but the complex hop palate with a fascinating red balance is really impressive. I'd think it was 100 IBU but only 74 and thinks it's the complexity of hop flavor they deceives. Can in SoCal while golfing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Slightly hazy Amber with a glowing rosey hue with a sticky ivory lasting head. Bright floral and leafy dank hops on the nose with a vibrant caramalt and red malt toastiness. Delightful flavor that’s crystal-biscuity with some lightly boozy caramalt tones, with vibrant earthy leafy hops and a kiss of citrus piney tones. Beautiful balance and hop depth with pleasant red ale sweetness, perhaps also a wee touch of strawberry near the back. Gentle booze heat.

19.2 ounce can. Bright reddish Amber color topped by a large Rocky beige head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine needles. Sweet caramel malt with fresh juicy berry notes. Some nuttiness and strawberry fruit in midtaste. Citrusy hop finish. Nicely complex and flavorful.

On tap at Crafted. Pours clear dark amber with a thick beige head with great retention and lace. Aroma is toasty, earthy. Taste is medium bitter with significant toasted malt. Nice hoppy bitterness playing alongside the toasty malt. Perfectly creamy mouthfeel. I’m really liking this.
