Bottle. [Tasting session @ Papsoe] Average creamy off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Clear pale amber color. Aroma of spice, fruit, grain, coriander, ginger like notes. Over the palate came strong spicy notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour with a hint of bitter floral notes. Lingering spicy sweet finish. yespr (45412) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2008
33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Spiced and mild ginger aroma. Sweet and ginger spiced flavoured with a lasting malty impression underneath. Light ginger into the far finish. Ober (2812) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2008
A clear orange/amber colored beer, with a thick off-white head. The aroma is spicey, some sweet, with malts. The taste is spicey, like cinnamon and some ginger. Some sweets of malt. Dry bittersweet. The aftertaste is bittersweet as well. There is a ginger and honey flavor. sleepylopes (318) - New York, USA - APR 2, 2008
very intresting take on a spiced beer. would have been much more enjoyble if the sweetness was toned down a bit. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2008
Yeah yeah it’s a bit spicy. Tastes like Becherovka and cheap diet coke. Clear headless ruby. Most obviously cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, rosemary....a bit mouthwashy, but nothing excessively mulled or candle-flavoured. Some biscuity malt survives the spicerack treatment. A nip of Jagermeister. Enjoyed it- reminded me a bit of Anchor Our Special Ale. Underrated.

Bottle bought in Riga. Amber colour. String herby, ginger, medicine and juniper aroma. Very strong herby juniper and indeed liquorice, ginger, spiced flavour. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 10, 2008
330ml bottle (Poseidon, Helsinki)
Reddy orange, tiny head. Smells a bit like candle wax, with a sweet accompaniament of ginger. Taste is relatively disappointing, somewhat thin and plasticky. Quite spicy though, but it doesn’t have the beery body to carry all the spice and the sweetness - and yes, it is too sweet. Can’t identify the predominant spice (it looks like no-one can!), but it’s a bit christmassy, and I think cardamom and Anna thinks nutmeg. pivnizub (10612) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - DEC 4, 2007
Bottle (333ml): Clear, copper coloured, smaller off-white foamy layer, dominating aromas of german Lebkuchen (a kind of ginger-bread, spiced with cinnamon, cardamom and all-spice) or of a horrible Glühwein, some hardly detectable malt in the background; moderate sweet flavour with a very light bitterness, medium bodied, a bit sticky; sweet-spicy finish with a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. This brew s*cks, an awfully spiced beer, suitable for the lousy german Christmas fairs......... Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 30, 2007
bottle. Amber colour, large head, perfumy aroma. Sweetish and malty body, lots of flavours to be detected here: vanilla, honey, cardamom, ginger... Quite interesting beer, not too sweet, wel rounded by a hoppy bitterness in the finish. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - OCT 25, 2007
, Helsinki. Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is a lot of juniper with some mild hints of wood. Flavour is juniper, wood and quite much grass. Really pleasant. Long junipery aftertaste.
