[bottle from Galerie Pivni]
Dark orange-brown, clear, fizzy, clingy, little islandy patches of white. Plenty of toasted malt fills the nose combined with even some smokiness and a nice sour, burnt aroma. Limited hops aroma. Sweet and smooth coffee malt flavour with significant bitterness which lasts in conjunction with the coffee flavour throughout. Notes of mint. Medium body, a bit mouth coating, moderate carbonation.

Taste is sweet malty with roasted notes and caramel, brown sugar, chocolate. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry roasted bitter finish with some redisual sweetness. Quite drinkable. suprchunk (2994) - Crestview, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2012
Dark brown pour. Slight tan/khaki head that leaves a little lacing around. Malty aroma with some roasty backings. Little bit of a metallic presence noted. Sweet matliness with a nice coffee roasted flavor. The metallic presence shows up again in the aftertaste. Not annoying, but still there. Not a bad beer at all. Pours a dark brown color topped with quite some tan colored head. Chocolate aroma, slightly roasty with some coffee notes in there. Taste is mildly sweet, chocolatey with some raosy notes. Finish slightly roasty and bitter, but all very gentle. I like dunkels very much, and this one really proved to be delicious. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - AUG 8, 2004
Toasted malt nose, clear dark brown with a sticky tan head. Warm round chocolate and caramelly flavors balanced by a light hoppying. Good balace and a solid simple dark lager.
