COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, leading to bitter finish with a touch of straw.

Draught at U Kuděje, Olomouc, Clear golden, small firmh ead. Aroma of grain and honey. Medium sweet and medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. The honey interacts with the grainy malt in a good way, and does not produce any vegetable off-flavours which is common in honey beers. Finishes with slight resiny bitterness.

Bottled. Clear deep golden, firm head. Evident hay-like saaz hop aroma. Very sweet, sugart and caramely. The honey flavour goes quite well with the saaz hops, but also makes itmuch too sweet.

Pale yellow with an airy white head. Aroma from boiled vegetables and grass. Weak malty flavor and not much of a finish. I expect and want more from a czech beer.

330ml bottle.
Pale gold, gushed a bit, brief head. Sweet and slightly lemony aroma. Taste similar, but body filled out with some pleasant maltiness and a bit of honey. Still a bit lagery, but quite full flavoured. Bitter hoppy finish, a tad astringent. I can imagine some lager drinkers liking this, but it’s not my thing.

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Clear golden color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, lightly wort and leaves. Taste malts, dusty, cardboard, a touch of honey, leaves. Average body and carbonation. Meh.
