COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

Bottle from trade with mmahut - many thanks, Marek! Pours out of the bottle in a clear amber colour with low airy head and smooth body. Aroma of bitter honey and caramel. Taste of mild hops, caramel, vanilla, ligth copper hints, hay and leaves. Easy drinkable with some light touch of honey. Malty finsih. Nice.

On tap at the Czech Inn, Dublin. Very full flavour witht he honey evident, adding an extra dimension to the beer. Sweet, but not cloying. Medium body, very quaffable. There are hops in the background to balance the honey.

Clear, golden. There’s a fair amount of honey in the aroma but less in the flavour. Bitter, Pils-esque finish.

Bit boring one with some straw, vegetables and some vanilla. Quite an earthy finish with low carbo and low drinkability. Bit tasteless in the end.

Draft at ’Only Good Beer’ in Budapest. Rich dark gold with firm head. Good, solid lager finish, hop bittering. Sweet and tangy up front. Crisp, but also sweet and tasty. Malty tart backbone.

(draught) clear golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of powdered sugar and caramel, quite nondeScript, with a touch of bran flakes and treebark. flavour is mostly grainy pale malts and caramel, with a touch of diacetyl, some nettles and a semi-dry finish. slightly watery body with average carbonation.

Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 6, 2008
In short: A basic honeyed lager with nothing else. Boring
How: Tap at Kralovstvi, Prague
The look: Clear golden blonde body with a medium white head.
In long: Hay and light honey. The whole seems tasted like a baklava-light. Very short finish. This one was seriously lacking hops in the finish to balance it off. Give it some noble hops and it could have made an ok pilsner but without the hops its finish was as disappointing as the one from The Sopranos Series.

Bottle @ benzai. Clear golden amber colour with a small white head. Smells malts, slightly glue, a bit weird, caramel. Tastes malts, iron, bit pilsener like. Quite a lot of carbo, thin body.

Bottle at the Pivkan festival in Zagreb. Poured agolden body with a medium-small white head. Malty and dusty nose, ordinary sweetish malty taste, light standard hoppy bitterness. Not bad, better than the rest of the line, just didn’t find it all that exciting.

johndoughty (5472) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2014
Bottle. Golden and clear with a medium head. Slightly spicy with a trace of honey. Pleasant but rather boring.
