COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

Černá Hora Kvasar S Medem 14° : Off white head, clear golden body. Leafy hops, gazzy malts, mildness to the nose. Mild taste, sweet mild caramel, grass, modest hops, brown bread, fermented fruit in syrup - leading to a fruity malty finish. On palate ok. Nice brew. 0.5 l bottle. Golden color. Malty and honeyish aroma with some herbal-peppery hops. Sweet, malty, honeyish and cloying flavor with some peppery hoppiness as well as some vinous notes reminiscent of mead.

sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2006
(Bottled) Clear, honey-golden color with a small head - after a huge initial burst from the bottle. Slightly stuffy, very mild aroma of sweet honey. Sweetish, acidic flavor with a European strong lager-like sweetish honey. Medium-bodied, sweetish and acidic palate with low carbonation. A kinda cheap brew, too sweet also.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2017 Takie dosc slabienkie piwo, oszczedne jesli chodzi o miod. Slodycz z miodu nie dominuje, jest piwo na tyle wytrawne i dodana spora dawka zateckiego chmielu ze rownowazy doskonale slodycz. Ale miod sie wyczuwa zwlaszcza w pierwszym posmaku. Zapach miodowo akacjowy i kwiatowy. Piana spora wytrwala.

Bottle. Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Clear flat body with a pale yellow color. Aroma of grain, grass, fruit. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light bitter and sweet flavor. Light bitter and dry finish.

bluevegie (3938) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 15, 2010
Golden orange body with poor head. Slight sweet aroma, grainy and cardboard. Taste is pretty much the same, pretty boring really, sort of notice the honey notes as promoted.
