COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Origin of name: the name is taken from the name of the star Kvasar. The inventor of this beer was Mr. Jiří Jelínek, who began brewing beer at home in his brewery in Sentice not far from Tišnov. Taste: this beer is characterized by its good head, golden yellow to golden brown color, and good vigor and fullness, which incite further drinking and corresponds to the characteristics of semi-fermented Czech beers. It is distinguished by its slightly sweet character due to its well-balanced bitterness and subtle honey flavor.

Pours a bright yellow with thousands of bubbles surrounding the body under a quickly dimishing white head. Aroma is earthy, wet hops with a strange sour grass component. . . flavours are subtle but there for the patient: apricots, spicy hop cones, pepper, crunchy sourdough crust and a raisin or two, pleasant and refreshing.

Golden colour. Somewhat sweet and honey flavoured. Aroma of honey is there too. Above average lager.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2012 Pivní speciál s přídavkem medu. Zlatá čirá barva, středně vysoká pěna, pozvolna opadající. Vůně převážně sladká sladová,jemné náznaky chmele jen v pozadí. Chut jemně medově sladovová a bohatá chmelová hořkost, která dokresluje střední až plné tělo piva. Medová sladkost vyniká pěkně na konci, kde zůstává a nechává v ústech sladkou medovou tečku s lehkou hřejivostí.

Tap at the Prague Beer Museum at Náměstí Míru Prague. Poured a clear medium to light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is light yeast malt. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a light fruit honey malt palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

500ml bottle. It has decent honey in smell and taste. Sweet but not too sweet, almost dry. Fizzy CO2, and normal foam. There are a not too low hop content also.

Jedno z najlepszych piw miodowych jakie piłem.

Draft at ’Only Good Beer’ in Budapest. Rich dark gold with firm head. Good, solid lager finish, hop bittering. Sweet and tangy up front. Crisp, but also sweet and tasty. Malty tart backbone.

500ml bottle, clear light orange colour, frothy avereage mostly lasting white head. Moderately malty aroma of bread and nuts, light to moderate floral and piney hops along with a subtle amount of honey. Initial flavour is light sweet & acidic turning into a moderately bitter finish with a slight alcoholic feel, medium to full body, oily texture and lively carbonation. Very nicely balanced and pleasant honey beer with a fairly subtle amount of honey, could’ve used a bit more hops though.

500ml bootle. Light unclear golden orange color with off white head. Malty aroma, grainy, light caramel, bready, honey. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Light to medium thin to oily body with soft carbonation.
