A traditional Czech dark lager with rich flavour given by a special combination of four types of malt, which also endows the beer with fullness and a unique caramel flavour and aroma. A pleasant bitterness and rich stable foam complete the unique character of the beer.

the aroma is caramel and fruity with hints of plum, garden berries and milk cbocolate... the taste is caramel and fruity, not bright, with notes of plum, berries, black bread and raisin... sweet and, a little bit, dry aftertaste...

(Can, 0.5 l, from a supermarket next to my hotel, 20160616) The beer poured very dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had malts, chocolate and metal. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was watery and bitter. A weak dunkel.

Bottle. Almost opaque black liquid with medium light tan head. Aroma of grain, bread, light ash, floral hops and light toast. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of grain, bread, light metal, light ash and earth. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Pretty decent tmavy, true to style and enjoyable. Maybe a bit simplistic and metallic.

Holmen2 (3568) - NORWAY - OCT 1, 2015

50cl can. Had it straight from the can. Bready, some caramel. Bready flavor, sweet and buttery. Bulky. Nothing I would buy again...
