Bottle at Culmination Fest 16: Poured a coppery color with reddish hue, head was white. Aroma was pungent blackberries. Taste was tart/sour blackberries, some balanced malts that keep it from one dimensional.

On tap at Exit 6. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of blackberries, yeast and funk. The taste was similar to the aroma with more blackberries, malts and funk. Nice twist on Katy.

750 ml bottle via STL trade. Label is differentiated by purple in the name Katy and a blackberry sticker on the neck of the bottle. It pours a hazy salmon color with a small to medium white head that settles into a lasting ring. That’s after a very slow gush upon opening. Very slow, though, and once you get a glass poured, there’s no issue. The blackberries really emerge more as this warms slightly and opens up. Layers of tart and sweet berries, including blueberries, with notes of plum skins, lemon, yogurt, minerals, oak, cobwebs, and lactic funk. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a tart, funky, dry mouthfeel. Really nice. Grew on me even more over time.
