750 ml bottle shared by phaleslu. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate, light black coffee notes, mild barrel notes with bourbon and vanilla. The body was thin for the barrel, but because the barrel was not dominating it didn’t turn out as bad. A slight tart dark fruit character was unexpected. 750ml bottle, shared by phaleslu. Lots of glitter on this wax... Had it all over myself for the rest of the night, thanks, beer. Very dark brown color. Thin light brown head. Some bits of lace. Nice darker chocolate. Some roast malts. Light coffee. Smooth, bigger body. Lighter carbonation. Kind of soft. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Solid, more bitter stout. phaleslu (10277) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 4, 2013
750 ml bottle from Dan- thanks again, Dan! One of the few TWCP barrel series beers I missed. Red wax with heavy glitter that covered my hand as I carved the thick wax off. Pours a deep chocolate brown with a medium tan head. Notes of bourbon, coconut, vanilla, chocolate, toast, and dark fruits- too many fruits, honestly. This one is starting to fade, and fast. Light-bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I heard it was much better fresh. Not bad, but not getting any better. gregwilsonstl (2505) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 17, 2013
Dark. Cherry cough syrup. Bedazzled wax dipped bottle. Way too low alcohol for the way it tastes. Low body. I think this bottle. Thanks a lot Tony B. :-) jandd1983 (4330) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JAN 3, 2013
It poured a deep brown almost black color with a small tan head. The aroma was of roasted malts, dark fruit and a lot of bourbon. The taste was of roasted malts, dark fruits, a hint of cocoa and lots of bourbon. Mighty tasty.

(bottle - STLCOB end of year tasting) red wax and glitter on the bottle. Dark brown with tan head. Aroma of roast malt, bourbon, some hints of dark fruit. Modest body. Roast malt, some cocoa and dark fruits, bourbon. vyvvy (6486) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - DEC 7, 2012
Pours quite dark brown with a good sized tan head. The aroma has quite a bit of bourbon, apple, cocoa, vanilla and nougat. Medium / thin body that is a bit on the snappy side with a nice gentle amount of semi-soft carbonation. The taste starts off with a more balanced amount of the roasted malt, cocoa notes and bourbon. There is a a bit of spice and green apple. The finish has a little bit of spicy / earthy hops showing through and a real smoothness to all of the flavors from the beer. Really well done. The aroma makes it seem the bourbon will overpower, but the taste has a great blend of flavors.
