Can and some samples years back (which are much like i remember this beer).
Pours deep dark orange hue with a nice soapy eggshel head and some nice lacing around the goblet. nose is bigtime sweet hops, lots of malt sweetness as well. astringent, slightly catty and some alcohol. Flavors exhibit the sweetness and piney hops quite a bit. The beer seems a bit on the chaotic side, not very well balanced. I mean its not a style that is usally balanced, but this beer is sort of messy in its delivery. it starts out slightly hot, then goes into a sweet malt base profile with a firm piney hop bitterness into the finish, which is abrupt short and sweet. The bitterness is firm and somewhat woody/spruce like. its firm and becomes more present in the mid palate as it warms. Alcohol is not well hidden, which also contributes to this messy delivery. I know this brewery does some other ipas i need to try that are probably better than this one. tcon25 (1029) - Duvall, Washington, USA - DEC 16, 2017

750 mL bottle shared with Gus. The pour is a darker orange with a thick white head and a strong lace. The aroma is very malty. There is a tropical fruit going on that is really nice behind the hop, but the malt dominance just doesn’t do it for me. The flavor is much of the same. Not really any hop or fruit, but there is a lot of sweet malt. It’s really interesting. Sweet malt. Ugh. The mouth feel is a little heavy and nicely carbonated. The sweet malt just powers the back end and it’s not my jam at all. Damnit. Geraldusek89 (29) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 6, 2016
A cat pee BEER. When it hits, it's all cat pee. Pour a golden gay with a cat pee nose feel. Better in the daylight. Three out of five, taste is the pee.

750ml. Hoppy and bitter. Floral somewhat hops, don’t know the date but don’t think this was very fresh. Orange zest.

bottle thanks to GreginSTL. Nose is super hoppy with a ton of classis C type hops. Lots of grapefruit as well. a light red color with a large white head. Taste is like a creamed hop cone, slightly sweet, chewy, moderately bitter and full of hop flavor as well. A really solid DIPA, but one that seems a little old world with a malt backbone that almost detracts from the hops. Not so much as others, but I like mine to be a little thinner. Some light peppery notes in the finish as it warms. Not sure if hops or ABV, but the alcohol is well done here too. kaser (6484) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 10, 2016

25.4oz bottle, BB Oct. Cloudy year-old penny color, nice lacing. Somewhat aged citrus taste (mostly orange) with light Ivory soap, earthy and resinous hints. Solid bitterness. Full body, medium carbonation. gururyan (736) - Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA - JUL 16, 2015
Large bottle into teku, "drink by 10/2015" so we beat that by 3-4 months. I’m a big fan of Falconer hops so when I read the description on the bottle while on vacation, standing in the limited/rare section…I had no choice. Aroma is of a rich yet subtle orange, color is a classic orange and cloudy. So smooth in taste, damn near perfection. If you chug it then it can be a little boozy in the mouth, this is to be savored and appreciated. It’s not complex or complicated, but concentrated craftsmanship. No way am I passing through MO again without seeking out more of this wonderful IIPA. MrBunn (2870) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2015
750. Pours a hazy orangish amber with a very dense and thick head. Aromas are fairly subdued... a bit of orange blossom, soap and light citrus. Flavor is a nice and punchy DIPA with lots of resin and citrus and a hint of soap. It balances nicely against a nice malt presence that sits about half way between honey and caramel. Very nice.
