COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here's a big hoppy IPA that is done the way they should be done and has about four truck loads of hops in it, although it is not very bitter at 74 IBUs. LOTS of Amarillo with a good bit of Citra and Columbus just for a good time.

El Gato Grande is named after the laziest, fattest, and friendliest cat in the brewery. He can often be found spending his the majority of his time sleeping, eating and dreaming about catching mice.

Bottle shared with Chris and Craig at Butler’s place. Pours a light orangish yellow with one finger of white head. Aroma is hoppy pine with slight grapefruit. A bit too sweet for me - need more bittering hops. But overall, a nice IPA.

The beer pours a slightly hazy orange with a large white head that fades slowly. The aroma has a lot of hops: citrus, resin, and grassy. The taste is mildly bitter and slightly sweet with loads of grassy and grapefruit flavor lasting through the finish. The palate fuses a slick texture, medium-light body, and an average carbonation.

Bottle @ home, thanks to jcnielsen for sending. Pours a hazy orange appearance with a big cream colored head. This is two years old. For some reason I thought this was a brett saison but evidently it’s an IPA. It’s not really fair to rate it at this point and I wouldn’t but it’s actually kind of cool. The aroma is still pretty tropical fruit forward. Plenty of melon, mango, and oranges. Medium body. A little boozy. It’s certainly deteriorated but there is some peach and mango notes intact. I think this would be pretty cool fresh.
