Heres what I’ve been goofin around with for a while. I love belgian wits on hot summer days (or freezin your but off days). Anyway I took a witbier and threw in a bunch of hibiscus flowers from Egypt and made the stuff even better.

473ml can. This brewery has some very poor marketing skills, buuttt. Pours a hazed neon pink, looks orange pink in the glass. Aroma is a tropical fruity/floral take on a wit. Flavor is lightly tart, floral tropical, wheaty, decent.

On tap at the Beer Cellar in Glen Ellyn, IL. for a 2nd Shift distributor promotion, dispensed to a snifter showing a cloudy, rosy/orange color, a decent layer of white froth that expeditiously reduced to a ring & film, with spiraling foam as lacing. The nose was soft grain/wheat, subtle, fermented fruit scent, and lemon, cherry, and berry. Tartness & tanginess were prevalent in both the aroma & flavor. A little less than medium bodied, with lively effervescence, the taste was as the aroma notes, with a bit of earthy & dry astringency, and slight seltzer-like nature. A refreshing, fruity Wit.

Smells like a musty wheat beer, has a very nice and subtle pink tint to it from the hibiscus. Taste is very wheat and yeasty from the start and takes a moment for the orange and coriander to come out. That then fades into a very very light perfume of hibiscus. Not catching he tart they reference on the can. Pretty middle of the road. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Cool gift. I don’t like the color on this one. Yes, I know that it’s just the hibiscus and the cloudiness of the beer, but it’s a weird, murky almost pink. Good carbonation and head formation though. This is quite aromatic with strong notes of clove, pepper, wood and plenty of hibiscus. The flower works pretty well. The finish is fairly dry and the yeast provides some pleasant spicy esters. It took me a quarter of the bottle to figure out if I really liked it, but it definitely grew on me. It’s weird and spicy. I like it.
