COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Don’t know what to call it besides a Brett Beer. This one gets aged for 3 months in oak barrels with Brettanomyces Lambicus, a cool yeast that gives this beer a wonderfully pretty aroma and flavor that everyone better like or else I’ll look you up and teach you a lesson.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2018 On draft at the brewery Aroma 8 /10: sour apricot and peach esters. Fresh, fruity. Appearance 3 /5: nice slightly opaque golden yellow but little to no head brings this down a notch for me. Palate 4 /5: mild carbonation but robust body. A punchy beer. Taste 9/10: citrus and mango esters initially, the brett hits more in the middle and rounds out tasting like a wild ale. Overall 19/20: lovely easy to drink beer with just enough familiarity to make it drinkable for many, but enough funk to make it interesting. Final: 4.3

tmoreau (4978) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - FEB 8, 2018
On tap at The Beer Cellar in Glen Ellyn, IL. dispensed to a snifter showing a hazed, golden hue, a modest layer of soft white froth that expeditiously reduced to a persistent ring, with light spots & strands that didn't linger as the ring. The nose was light funk, subtle oak, with a touch of sweetness, and esters as citrus & dried fruit. The taste was similar, with fair tartness & tanginess, light body, and carbonation that was seltzer-like, but somewhat low. Underwhelming, but still pleasantly tasty.

On tap. Pours a hazy golden color with a small head that fades quickly. Aroma of fruit, a bit tart and hint a of yeast. Taste of fruit, slightly tart with trace of wood. Bit of tart lingers into a fairly dry finish. Moderate body with nice subtle tart feel to it. Not bad at all.

10/16/2016 -- from notes: 750ml bottle, thanks to phaleslu. Sticker on bottom reads 031516. Pours with a nice white head that quickly fades to nothing. Hazy golden orange color. Medium-plus body, crisp carbonation, easy-to-sip. Nice and bright. Light to moderate bitter, nice mild dryness, lighter sweet, mild alcohol. Mild sour taste. Nice sort of crisp hop, great lemon citrus, mild biscuity malt, some floral, some nice funk and citrus through the aftertaste. Pretty awesome brett saison.
