Bottle from Greg, thanks a bunch! Pours near black with a nice finger worth of a khaki colored head. Decent legs and spotty lacing. Aromas of chocolate syrup, tons of fresh roasted coffee, lught vanilla, light caramel and a hint of booze. Taste is loaded with milk chocolate, vanilla milkshake and a fresh ground coffee. 750 ml bottle. Thanks, 316nuts. The beer is black with very narrow edges of dark brown. Fairly thick light brown head, fine foam. Nice rich coffee-forward aroma. Nice fudgey chocolate base. Moderate to medium coffee acidity but it doesn’t really get in the way too badly. Light citrus flavor. Big sweet milk chocolate base on the taste. Strong but smooth coffee flavor follows up. Medium roast and a good bit of vanilla. Nice caramel sweetness underneath the chocolate. Smooth, thick mouthfeel. Very rich on the palate. Nice big coffee stout with a chocolate syrup base. 750 ml bottle to goblet at the Side Project Cellar (2016 vintage). Looks solid; undercarbonated though. A still, nearly opaque very dark cola. Smells of dark malt, chocolate, coffee, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a smooth but still medium full-bodied mouthfeel that finishes fairly bitter. Bottle shared by Brandon. Pour is black with little head. Aroma is bursting with coffee and brown sugar. Flavor is roasted malt and coffee with plenty of rich toffee notes to round it ou . No burn. Well done.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, large brown super creamy long lasting head, great lacing. Aroma is coffee, espresso, mocha, molasses, roasted malts, hints of tobacco. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, rich velvet mocha, huge flavor bomb. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. One of the best straight coffee imperials I have had. 750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of strong coffee, roastiness, some chocolate, faint hints of licorice, some light sweetness, and hints of bitterness. Bottle shared at Guinn’s house. Batch #4, one of 150 bottles. Pours dark brown. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malts, lots of dark chocolate and lots of coffee. Coffee is entwined well into the beer. Sampled at the W&C Beer Fest 2015. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of malts, coffee and a touch of vanilla. The taste was similar to the aroma with some coffee bitterness and a creamy vanilla sweetness. It was light in body with a touch of bitter sweetness. It poured a pitch black color with a light tan head. The aroma was full of toasty malts, bold coffee notes and a hint of vanilla sweetness. The taste was a very well balanced roasted coffee bitterness with a creamy vanilla sweetness. It was almost like coffee with milk and sugar. Also, light in body with a lingering bitter sweetness. It was not too heavy and a perfect coffee presence. Nice.
Draft at the bridge. Pours black with a thick khaki head. Lots of malt on the nose. I can’t say I’m getting a ton of coffee here on the tongue but there’s a lot of chewy malt and a fair amount of hoppiness on the finish. Solid but not amazing.
