Draft at the brewery served in a clear smaller coffee shaped cup. Almost black with a tan blotchy head. Big coffee aroma is roasty and earthy. Flavor begins with that. It tastes fresh and quality. Big dark malts with some vanilla. Chooclate comes later and is sweet milk variety and that grows to the finish. There is a lot to like with this one. Good stuff!

Bottle from Greg, thanks a bunch! Pours near black with a nice finger worth of a khaki colored head. Decent legs and spotty lacing. Aromas of chocolate syrup, tons of fresh roasted coffee, lught vanilla, light caramel and a hint of booze. Taste is loaded with milk chocolate, vanilla milkshake and a fresh ground coffee. Mild acidity, mild nuttiness and a hint a booze. Really tasty beer!

Mild coffee aroma. Dark brown pour, frothy bronze head. Initial smooth, roasted coffee followed by a slightly bitter finish.

750 ml bottle. Thanks, 316nuts. The beer is black with very narrow edges of dark brown. Fairly thick light brown head, fine foam. Nice rich coffee-forward aroma. Nice fudgey chocolate base. Moderate to medium coffee acidity but it doesn’t really get in the way too badly. Light citrus flavor. Big sweet milk chocolate base on the taste. Strong but smooth coffee flavor follows up. Medium roast and a good bit of vanilla. Nice caramel sweetness underneath the chocolate. Smooth, thick mouthfeel. Very rich on the palate. Nice big coffee stout with a chocolate syrup base. Quite tasty.

b3shine (9150) - Indiana, USA - APR 1, 2016
750 ml bottle to goblet at the Side Project Cellar (2016 vintage). Looks solid; undercarbonated though. A still, nearly opaque very dark cola. Smells of dark malt, chocolate, coffee, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a smooth but still medium full-bodied mouthfeel that finishes fairly bitter. Good, but would be a lot better if it had some carbonation.

beernbourbon (1600) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - JAN 2, 2016
Bottle shared by Brandon. Pour is black with little head. Aroma is bursting with coffee and brown sugar. Flavor is roasted malt and coffee with plenty of rich toffee notes to round it ou . No burn. Well done.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, large brown super creamy long lasting head, great lacing. Aroma is coffee, espresso, mocha, molasses, roasted malts, hints of tobacco. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, rich velvet mocha, huge flavor bomb. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. One of the best straight coffee imperials I have had. Kudos guys.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of strong coffee, roastiness, some chocolate, faint hints of licorice, some light sweetness, and hints of bitterness. Flavor an incredible blend of an imperial stout plus coffee. Smooth texture. Dang, dat good.

BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - JUL 8, 2015
Bottle shared at Guinn’s house. Batch #4, one of 150 bottles. Pours dark brown. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malts, lots of dark chocolate and lots of coffee. Coffee is entwined well into the beer. Not harsh at all. Milky chocolate coffee, sort of. Fairly sweet. Overall, a really nice beer.
