750 ml bottle from phaleslu. Pours black in color with a medium sized creamy beige head. The aroma has roasted malts, chocolate, mild berry notes with a slight tart character and a hint of smoke. The flavor is a pretty straight forward stout; mild sweetness, roasted malts, ash, dark chocolate and some mild dark fruits. The texture and overall enjoyment improved with warming.
Bottle [from trade with heyta] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Opaque black color, full sized brown head. Aroma is quite unexpected: malts, dark fruits, dark berries, a hint of roast and coffee. Taste malts, dark fruits, dark berries, roast and coffee lightly, light tart. Average body, way too fizzy carbonation. Overall I’d say it’s interesting but in the end disappointing imo. DutchDrebus (6191) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - OCT 15, 2015
Bottle @ home shared by benzai. Black colour with a medium sized beige to light brown head. Smells roasty, sweet, loads of raisins, herbs, slightly pear, coconut. Tastes roasty, applesyrup, sweet, raisins, wood (oak). Too much carbo, full body thegreenrooster (4558) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 25, 2014
Pour is a black with no head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt and not much else but hold on the flavor is way better. Roasted malt to the extreme. The char on this is by far the most intense I’ve had in awhile. Big roasted notes and then a peanut butter is left on the tongue after the swallow. Very tasty and chewy. daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Darker brown color with a lighter brown head. Cocoa powder, burned marshmallows, plums, soy. This is ok. crossovert (13869) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 24, 2013
Nice fruity imperial stout with plenty of cocoa and coffee and a ncie mouthfeel.

Tap at The Bridge in St Louis, MO. Rating #5700 on this site. Not on the tap list. Inky pour. Spotty Martian red lacing. Nose is strange: peanut salted, umami seaweed crackers, Japanese gas station snacks. Taste is spot on: rich, dense, bitter, waxy dark chocolate. Really delicious. Dry, dusty cocoa powder finish with hints of chili powder. Wow. Big surprise here from an up and coming brewery. SrSilliGose (3332) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - APR 13, 2013
Bottle thanks to phaleslu. Thanks pal. Taste better than aroma. Taste is pleasant Roasted doughy dark chocolate. Cream. Molasses. Nice. Tad doughy. Dark roast and molasses combo is nice. jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAR 5, 2013
Bottle. Pours a thick black color with brown head. Roasty, chocolate aromas. Dark chocolate, oak, roasty, syrupy flavors. Tasty and very drinkable stout. ArrogantDusty (40) - Missouri, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Share this at a buddy’s house. Poured like black coffee. Deep black with a small brown head.
It smelled of bourbon, vanilla, oak and chocolate. Good balance.
Dark chocolate, fig, coffee, oakiness, mild vanilla and some boozy bourbon flavors. Nothing overpowers the other, just a good blend. CWoodsKilla (36) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - FEB 10, 2013
All I can smell is coffee. It is a nice creamy, extremely dark brew. Tastes like an iced coffee from Starbucks. Very smooth. Delicious mocha cappuccino flavor that lingers on the palate. Definitely worth getting any time you can find it.
