Sampled at STL Microfest 2012 - Pours golden / light amber with an off-white head. The aroma has light toasted malt, fruitiness, earthy and piny hops. Medium crisp body with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with lots of hoppiness, ripe nectar fruitness, malt for balance and earthy / funky saison yeast. The finish has earthy piney hops and they are in full effect. I’ve liked the other Unicorn Killers, but having one that is extra hopped with no spices is pretty nice. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUL 13, 2012

Bottle. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose/taste of lemon zest, saison yeast, citrus fruits, herbs, white pepper and spiced breads. Medium body. MrBunn (2826) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2012
750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy straw color with lots of fizzy head and aromas of lemons and tropical fruit with a little light spice and grass. Flavor is heavy with light fruit notes... Apricot, lemon and under ripened peaches with a bit of coriander and grass. A little bit of a buttery edge is present early in the bottle, but it disappears or I became disabused to it toward the end. This is another very pleasant Saison and now I an off to slay even more unicorns...

Bottle at a tasting at Paul’s. Pours a hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Musky with a touch of sage on the nose, very faint hints of lemon. Medium bodied, light musk and a touch of lemon, wheat and a bit of bitterness. Long musky finish with a touch more citrus. phaleslu (10271) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 4, 2012
750 ml bottle. Pours a mostly clear gold with a big, rocky white head that leaves some lace in the glass. Aroma of herbal and floral hops, peppery spices, sweet malts, bread, hay, and farmhouse funk. Flavor of floral and grassy hops, spices, bready malts, funk, apricot, and citrus. Medium-bodied, with a spicy, funky mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Another solid saison from these guys. Bottle-purchased at Wine and Cheese Place Clayton, MO June 2012-pours lightly hazy bright orange with a lovely fluffy eggshell head that lasts the entire time of the beer. Nose is fruity, estery, phenolic, lite funk, but lots of esters here-banana, lite ginger, corriander. smells more like a big wit beer than anything. definately not bad.
Flavors take the shape of the nose-phenolic bright fruits, lite funk, lite sourness, with a very tart finish. perfect for the style. However, its a bit too phenolic for me to consider it in my top range of Saisons however, its definately solid. big slick body here with medium carbonation. I like the palate here- not overly carbonated like alot of american saisons. A tasty Missouri Saison! Patrickctenchi (6591) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUL 3, 2012
