The beer pours an opaque orange color, but the small white head fades quickly. The aroma is a nice blend of Belgian yeast and sour fruit, and the flavor is mildly sour and slightly sweet. The flavor is nothing special, but there is nothing offensive either. The palate has a medium body, thick texture, soft carbonation, and a sour finish, which doesn’t help this beer stand out. vyvvy (6460) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - JUL 23, 2014
Pours hazy golden / orange with a small white head. The aroma has banana esters, peach, fruity yeast, cream, mild caramel, toast and some saison earthiness. It has a medium / full smooth body with a decent amount of semi-sharp carbonation. However, there is a slick feeling left in the mouth. The flavor starts off with lots of stone fruitiness and is very malty for a saison. There is caramel, butterscotch, light spice and some herbs. The finish shows some alcohol and dried herb s. This is okay, but have liked the other Unicorn Killers better. However, with the different treatments this could end up being interesting.
