The dunkel is sharp in mouthfeel. It is bubbly and smooth. The flavor is mild but enjoyable. There is no sweetness, the flavor is a bit earthy, like pine nuts.

Enjoyed at the 3 Daughters brewery stop of the rbwg2015 bus tour. Poured up on tap where it exhibits an amber to copper colored body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up raisins and prunes and then a bit of malts and roasted malts. The taste delivers roasted malts, prunes and caramel malts with a touch of chocolate and a faint astringent dryness going into the finish
