Bottle share. Poured a dark golden with a small white froth. Aroma of tart citrus. Medium body, flavour is a bit bland. Disappointing.

Pours a light amber with a light haze. The smell is mineral and funk. The taste is pepper, barnyard, some fruit with a tart ending. Fine structure and elegant carbonation.

Bottle at Xmas 2016 gathering, merci Phil! Pours plum, no head or lacing. Notees of plumb, some cereal, vinegar. Taste medium tart, light sweet. Light body, lively carbonation. Awesome.

A hazed dark golden Gueuze with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, intense Gueuze with intense tart cherry, light Brett, light lactic notes, horse blanket, very wild. In mouth, a nice tart Gueuze with light cherry notes, light Epsom salts, light Brett, light lactic notes, horse blanket, very intense and beautiful. Bottle at Ottawa Xmas gathering 2016.

Corked and caged
Cloudy orange color, sparse bubbles rather than full head. Cobwebs and a hint of cheese, feet in the aroma, deep, rich; some bitter orange peel, properly aged Italian salame. Good body, astringency dominates, cedar peel flavor, some cobwebs.
Excellent.

750ml bottle @ Alex’s. Pours a hazy copper orange with a thin off-white head that dissipates. Nose is complex funky notes, earthy, hay, a hint of acidity and light fruits. Flavour is a lot of funk and up front tart bite, smoothing out and with the carbonation mouthfeel creates a creamy like texture. Beautiful... Thank you Alex!

Pours a murky amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma of lemon rind, funk, and hay. Tastes very complex, yet still with balanced funk and acidity. Long sharp and dry finish. Amazing.

Koelschtrinker (20242) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - OCT 21, 2016
Vollmundiger, zitronig säuerlicher Antrunk. Weiche Noten, etwas Getreide, erdig. Sehr süffig, die Säure fährt deutlich zurück. Komplex, mild fruchtig, intensiv. Langer Nachhall. Super! 12/13/14/14/12/14

Pours a hazy golden orange from the bomber, apparently it gets darker with age, bubbly off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of complex funk notes, earthy must, barnyard hay, a hint of acidity and light fruits. Taste is big funk with a tart apple note in the middle and a must wine type bite at the end. Still very bubbly for being 6 years old, super complex with things I’m not sure how to describe. Beautiful.

Lucky to try Lente, Zomer, Herfst all side by side. Lente took the cake, then Herfst and Zomer. Pours a cloudy golden brown yellow color. Aromas are of lemon juice, light vinegar, floral honey, funk and rubber. Taste is sour but not extreme, finishes minerally and definitely the softest palate of them all. They did something correct with this blend.
