Unlabelled bottle at the source. Shared with BigMomma. Murky variegated golden brown color, massive dark tan head with flavor flecks. Amazing retention. Aroma is spectacular! "That’s from the Challenger hops," said Armand. I’m the only one who uses them." Scents of rye flour, leather, sesame, biscuits and grandma’s attic. Taste is toasted dark bread, citrus and sesame breadsticks. Wonderful.

Corked and caged
Cloudy orange color, sparse bubbles rather than full head. Cobwebs and a hint of cheese, feet in the aroma, deep, rich; some bitter orange peel, properly aged Italian salame. Good body, astringency dominates, cedar peel flavor, some cobwebs.
Excellent.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2013 Bottle at the East Croydon Beer Tasting. Scopey quickly becoming legend. Pours cloudy gold with a delicate, white foam head. Rich grass aroma with leather and faint lemon. Flavor is quite exquisite, extremely clean and fresh, lots of grass, sour, modest zesty lemon. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Super clean finish, more grass, some tart citrus, low acidity, hints of white grapes. Just incredibly drinkable, grassy and fresh with cleansing sourness. Superb. (4.7)

Bottle at RBWG. Brad is the man. Yep, as good as last time. (4.7)

Vollmundiger, zitronig säuerlicher Antrunk. Weiche Noten, etwas Getreide, erdig. Sehr süffig, die Säure fährt deutlich zurück. Komplex, mild fruchtig, intensiv. Langer Nachhall. Super! 12/13/14/14/12/14

Bottle at home on my lonesome, from an IP trade at Borefts ’13, 25/06/14. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a well appointed eggshell white head that retains well, carbonation evident. Nose is citric tinged straw, dry rot, dank woody notes, must, rotting apple core, funky dogs collar, dried out back of the cupboard lemon. Taste comprises tangy/tarte white grapes, musty orchard wood, bitter lemon rinds, funky, grandads shed - 3rd draw down the little damp patch, dank citric tinged straw, burnt grass. Medium bodied, fine massageing carbonation, dank orchard rinse in the close. Top draw Gueuze - great balance, great depth of flavour.

Bottle @ RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting at Dean Swift. Hazy gold orange colour with lasting beige head. Aroma is pretty stunning. Leafy funk. Could smell this all day. Biscuit in mouth. Quite complex in mouth. Good sourness on end. It’s pretty good, but I think I preferred the Tilquin before it. It’s pretty good though.

Bottle, at RBNAG-11. An unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a small, off-white head. Funky, fluor-like nose with barnyard and earthyness. Quite lemony flavor with funkyness, fluor-like hints and barnyard and earth. Lasting funky barnyard finish. Full-bodied and tart, really pleasant on the palate. Although a bit too sourish, it’s a really pleasant beer. Probably the best of the three first Armand’4 beers. 111015
