Bottled from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Hazy golden colored, small white head. Very nice lambic nose, fruit, wheat, horseblanket. Sour and tart flavor, but not overly, fruity notes less apparent than in aroma. Dry finish. Not as intense as i thought it would be. Overall a well balanced gueuze. The beer itself is definitely not worth the price tag (39 euro), but it’s a good way of helping out a brewery in need.

Sampled from 750ml bottle and shared by BDR. Pours a hazy orange amber colored brew with a thick white head that really stick around. Aroma of tart and wild golden sour beer, a hint of citrus and earthy spice. Taste is equally tart and funky with flavors of mild citrus, horse blanket, read licorice and earthy spice. Finish continues the tart funk and dank cheese aftertaste. Everything I expect out of a bottle conditioned and aged Gueuze.

JK (6249) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - JUN 25, 2017
Bottle shared by Brad, thanks! Dry, earthy aroma with dried plants. Flavor is much more sour than the zomer i had first. Sour flavor, but hops and malt are therenin the flavor too. Excellent but not ss good as a Zomer in oeak form.

dogfish120love (1339) - Westfield, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 14, 2017
Pours a moderately dark orange with a fluffy billowing white head. What starts of as a pale yellow at the bottom of the glass ascends into darker orange notes. The aroma is leather, citrus, licorice and dirt. Incredibly complex with flourishing carbonation

Erzengel (9329) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - APR 14, 2017
Bottle bought at the brewery some years ago. Extreme sourish horse-blanket nose. The beer starts sour-fresh. Extreme sour tart dry body. Grainy with an intense dry sourness. Funky with lots of horse-blanket. Complex with sour fruity parts, smooth, sourish dry aftertaste with woody hints and fresh yeasty sourness. Very nice!

BuckeyeBoy (8281) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 12, 2017

Nose is nice funky horse blanket dusty some light fruit notes and burning plastic. O you got you to love the burning plastic notes. Taste is more of the nice funky notes some dank cheese this one is amazing.

ClarkVV (6839) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 18, 2017
Bottle shared with Nelson at Akkurat on 11/29/16.
Very light-colored body and gushing with a white head atop. Clear.
Wow, what a nose. As I mentioned in my Winter review, what this lacks in the sheer unique complexity of the Winter (strange fruits, must, cellar, mineral), it close to makes up for in just pure, unadulterated, bright, lambic goodness. Brett and lactic acid are intensely vivacious here, with lemon, tangerine, lime juice and hugely soft minerality on the back end, bolstering the aroma.
In the mouth it’s just about as good, with a proper attenuation and carbonation and good pucker on the end. Apples, tangerines, lemons and lots of honey, with boisterous but not too intense lactic character, adding a good deal of sourness. I can see why this one is the favorite but I think I like the Winter just a bit more on account of its mysteries.

Bottle thanks to Craig. Pours hazy dark orange with a thin white blanket of head. Peach, aged sharp cheddar. Good
