UPDATED: APR 18, 2016 Jim/John is back tasting. Bottle courtesy of kermis. Murky ochre, offwhite head. Apricot, mineral, milky, white raisans, grapes, hay, cobwebs, little dust, faint woodglue. Medium smooth sour, light salty. Creamy silky and minerallike texture. Enjoying this! kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 16, 2016
Bottle shared at the John/Jim tasting. Moldy on the cork which explosively popped out across the room as it came loose. Cloudy amber with an off white head. Aroma of dusty funk, dry cellar, cobwebs, leather, lactic touchs, yoghurt, barnyard, light citrus and tart light fruit. Flavour is light sweet and moderate sour. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Nice, but certainly not up there with some of the better 3 Fonteinen gueuzes Maakun (5346) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 16, 2016
Bottle shared at John almost got killed by a cork tasting, thanks to kermis for sharing. Hazy dark golden, almost copper with big light beige head. Lots of hay, farmyard, dank cellar, especially on the nose. In the taste there’s some lactic and yoghurt notes, dead leaves, some sherry, quite earthy. Under medium sour with light lactic sweetness throughout. Medium bodied with slight sticky feel and champagne-like carbonation. A bit disappointing to be honest. jmgreenuk (9300) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - APR 16, 2016
Bottle at the Jim / John is back tasting, Den Haag, April 2016. Courtesy of Kermis. Poured a murky medium amber with frothy white head. The aroma is big yeast, doughy biscuit, tart citrus. The flavour is moderate sour with a sharp acidic citrus palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. deanso (10070) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - APR 16, 2016

Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours a cloudy earthy orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is funk forward with a decent amount of menthol and some dry tart fruits and a bit of oak. Flavor has a nice acid note with a good amount of menthol and some earthy funk and a touch of oak. jackl (8013) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Bottle @ The Levi Tasting. Thanks, Levi! Slightly hazy light Amber pour with a small head. Nose is wonderfully expressive. Massive barnyard aroma. Bucolic splendor. Manure, barnyard funk. Light lemon. Flavor is wonderful. Sort tartness. Light pollen. Acid and brett working well together. Lightly sweet. Easy drinking, effervescent carb. Fantastic. This is amazing right now. Bottle share by Caleb. Hold color, very heavily carbonated. Sour and earthy. Some cheese. Full of flavor. An earthy character comes out as I drink more of it. Complex, sour, excellent beer. thomashall (984) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Bottle shared by Levi and Tim, huge thanks for sharing this! Cloudy dark golden pour. Great carbonation still. Aroma is huge funk. Taste is amazing, nice funk with the fruit. Just amazing! ineedbeer (2147) - Oakland, California, USA - FEB 17, 2016
Aroma is nice with some light citrus notes. Medium light herbal notes with a light mint note. Some light stone fruit character and a bit of oak notes. Pours a hazy, golden copper color with a very large, white head that shows good retention as it recedes to the edges. Medium light lacing and small legs. About as dark as Herfst. Flavor is nice with a good herbal character. Light citrus notes with a touch of stone fruit. Good oak notes. Nice funk with good earthiness and herbal notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high to high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer with great herbal and citrus notes. Probably my second favorite season but its very close to Herfst.
