3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle on a Sunday night. Pours with a lofty head that dies down quick, medium orange body, cloudy after multiple days rest vertical in the fridge. The nose is muddled, citric, with wheat and allspice. Not particularly assertive. There is a sharp, bitter note to this in the aroma, almost hoppy. The carbonation pops in the mouth, but the acidity is quite restrained. Some earthy morel mushrooms present in the finish. Easy drinking but not particularly exciting; certainly not worth $50.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home with Lorna. Gusher! It pours cloudy orange, with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is sulphur, wood, tart lemon, mould, white grape and daisies. The taste is lemon, white grape, grapefruit, vinous, feta cheese, wood, mould, vinegar, lactic acid and floral, with underlying honey sweetness to balance everything out . Medium body and lively carbonation. Great level of complexity. Mouth-puckering tartness. A great gueuze all round.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured into a tasting glass. Bottle shared among six of us, so about 4 oz. for me. Consumed second of our four seasons tasting.
4.0 A: Moderately hazed yellow orange. A little darker and more orange than Lente. Two and a half fingers of foamy white head. Good retention and moderate amounts of spotty lacing left behind.
4.0 S: Lots of mustiness in this. Compared to Lente, this is much more earthy with much less fruit. Lots of lemon in this though. Least lactic of the four. Grainy maltiness, rotting wood, wet grass, and forest after a rain.
4.0 T: Pretty much follows the nose. Earthiest season, least fruity, and probably the least funky as well. This was the only one that had a considerable astringency.
4.5 M: Lighter body. Gueuze level carbonation that is highly spritzy with a solid creaminess, though maybe a tad less creamy than the others. Super smooth.
4.0 D: This was my least favorite season, but it was still a damn good beer. Would drink this all the time if I could afford to.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
poured into a 3F stemmed glass. as the cork popped the gushing began, didnt lose much but still. it was opened at around 46 degrees. huge head on this, lots of cloud like fluffiness. a hazy burnt golden orange. slight sour white grape with an underlying sharp funkiness. a bit of cheese. strong lemon. lots cheese with a muted tartness that hides beneath. very light dry oak. the lemony tartness just seems like it wants to come out but cannot. be it a mix of oak and funk, or just so much body that the sourness just cannot pop out. excellent carbonation through out, a nice little bite on the tongue. not overly light like some gueuze. shockingly not as dry as i would have expected. absolutely delicious however i give the full nod to Lente for being everything and then some. this just falls short in the taste. a world class gueuze by all means which really sets the bar all things considering. 4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
[Bottle, thanks for sharing, Greg!] Pours hazy amber with a nice off-white head. Aroma is pungently sour, with solid grassiness, and an unusal crushed nettle character. The taste has a big dose of peach, along with some grapefruit and nice sourness. Medium thin mouthfeel with a good length finish. Overall, a great gueuze that I am glad that I had the opportunity to try. Thanks again, Greg!

Bottle. Amber color. Lemon, oak, honey and gooseberries in the aroma. Close to perfection. Lemon and oak in the flavor. Considerable dry out effect. Raspberry and gooseberry asters. Hint of leather. Very complex geuze with an unbeatable aroma.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle shared by ygtbsm94: Pours a hazy dark golden with a stringy-lacing froth of clumpy white head. Has a earthy funky grassy complex with a smooth herbal brett nose. Starts with good fullness and light malty sweetness, quickly giving way to a tart, well-balanced floral funky complexity before a drier, crisp sweet-tart finish. An incredibly balanced and very drinkable gueuze. I just wish is was more accessible/cheaper.
