JaBier (7871) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUN 3, 2017
Sample of the 2014 vintage at Lizardville Westerville on 5/17/17. These guys always put on the best events for Columbus Craft Beer Week. Pours a clear reddish amber with a thin beige head. Aroma of funk, malt, raspberry and sour, peppery yeast. Malt and funk flavor with raspberry fruitiness before a sour raspberry and lemon finish. Truly exquisite. I’m more of a cherry fan than raspberry, but side by side with Intense Red, this one won.

Sample at Lizardville Westerville during the Sour Beer Night event on 05/17/2017. Hazy burgundy color with a medium off-white head that burns away steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of raspberry, funky yeast and malt. Light to medium body with a funky barnyard character and flavors of tart raspberry, yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is tart and funky with a lingering berry aftertaste. Good beer all around.

At 3 Fonteinen restaurant. As Hommage frambozenlambik 2014 vintage 6% ABV. Beautiful ruby colour with a lasting pinkish head. Raspberry soap aroma, Red fruits, oak. Flavour lots of raspberry, slight oak. Moderate sour. Had expected more from this. Would probably age pretty well.

[2014] 750ml bottle. Hazy dark red with a thin ring of pinkish white foam. Flavors are raspberry jam, oak and rubber with funky notes. Generous lactic acidity. Light to medium body, soft to moderate carbonation, smooth texture.

2014 bottle at home from bradleys cork (40EUR, pricey but worth it!)
Briliant scarlet pink, lively carbonation and pillowy pink tinged marshmallow-like head. Immediate tart and juicy raspberry on the nose. Bright and tart, hay, touch of manure, lactic acidity, lemon juice, but always returning to the juicy raspberry yjay makes me such a fan of this style. A little acidic and cantillon like in finish, think i still prefer the boon vintage framboise & lou pepe but perhaps need to do a side to side. nevertheless a delicious beer - looking forward to trying some of their other fruited lambics at toer de gueze.

McWorta (1627) - LUXEMBOURG - FEB 7, 2017
Light opalescent with a ruby dark red colour and a light pink delicate frothy head. Aromas of ripe raspberries, wet wood, light funk, earthy notes develop - rather complex yet round. Fine carbonation with a lightly slick yet slender body. Lovely ripe red fruit sweetness with a fine fruity, woody acidity. Very harmonic and something very enjoyable to savour - lasting light fruity-fry finish. Enjoyed this a lot.

2014 bottle shared at DHVL. Dark pinkish color with off-white head. Aroma is raspberry, jam, some breadcrust, very fruity, wood. Taste is straight raspberry, oily mouthfeel, very jammy, but also a touch of vinegar coming through. Great and well-balanced stuff.

pushkinwow (2781) - Ottawa, CANADA - JAN 15, 2017
2014 bottle from Ian opened up at the 2016 Ottawa Year-end Gathering. Murky red with no head. Funky with a light tartness, strawberry and raspberry, a bit musty. More Cantillon like in the enamel peeling and fairly acidic, mild+ carbonation and full body, quite fruity but have to be honest that it wasn’t what I was expecting. We have one more bottle to open at some point, hoping some age bring it back to 3F deliciousness.
