rederic (3340) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 31, 2017
750ml bottle, 2015 vintage, dark red color, with a small pinkyish head, but falling quickly, nice funky bretty wild yeast, earthy black cherry, almondy cherry pit nose with some mild marzipan, subtle vanilla oak barrel, faint musty, subtle burnt rubber, cherry jam accents, and a faint woody, dusty, faint sourish wheat malt note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with good juicy sour cherryish, musty red berry, almondy cherry pit character with some funky bretty wild yeast, woody, subtle tart rhubarb, sour green apple, faint acidic lemon, subtle corky flavours leading towards a mild fruity cherry sourness, funkiness, dry finish.

Bottle @home, (Clear out the cellar evening). Pours purple/red, very thin pink head. Nose is cherry, farmyard, plum, sour. Taste is very much like the nose, big cherry, funky and sour.

Bardzo dobre piwo, ale nie urywające, fajne wiśnie, fajna owocowość, ale nie tak dużo lambika

Bought @Hopduvel Gent. Bottle 28/04/2016 Very intense indeed. Very fruity aroma. Very nice deep red colour with dark pink head which dissapears immediately. Taste is massive Kriek. Very profound taste. Sour, slightly puckering. Krieken all over the place, but still you taste the nice lambiek. Very well balanced. Palate is very complex, first the effect of the krieken which evolves in a nice lambiek aftertaste. Dry finish.

Funky barnyard and cherries. Sour and very fruity, rather sour in a way cherries are. Very tasty and balanced

superspak (5781) - Michigan, USA - AUG 9, 2017
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/28/2015. Pours slightly hazy deep ruby red color with a 1-2 finger fairly foamy and fluffy pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/tangy cherries, cherry pits, almond, fruit skin, raspberry, lemon, green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, and biscuit; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, pepper, red wine vinegar, vanilla, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of cherries, fruity/earthy/funky yeast, oak barrel, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy cherries, cherry pits, almond, fruit skin, raspberry, lemon, green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, and biscuit; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, pepper, red wine vinegar, vanilla, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; with light fruit tang and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy cherries, cherry pits, almond, fruit skin, raspberry, lemon, green apple, red grape, hay, straw, grass, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light funk/vinegar, pepper, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/earthy/funky yeast, oak barrel, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness, spiciness, and fruit tang. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, fairly crisp/acidic, and lightly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is a fantastic Kriek lambic! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of cherries, fruity/earthy/funky yeast, oak barrel, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tannic/drying finish. More of a balanced Kriek, but still has a lot of nice wild complexity and oak presence; with huge amounts of cherry fruit character. A highly enjoyable offering.

Intense cherries which almost completely covers up typical lambic notes. Cherries, lacto and fruit acidity with underlying funky notes. Nice.

This is an overwhelming beer, surprising you with every sip. Leather, sour aromas mix with both ripe cherries and tart cherry skins. Infinitely drinkable and refreshing.

Kolor metny wisniowy praktycznie bez piany. Czuc na pierwszym planie kwasne wisnie, duzo beczki i niecy dzikich nut w postaci skory. Lekkie nuty winne i cierpki posmak na koncu. Czuc tez cytryny i czarne porzeczki. Zachowany swietny balans pomiedzy kwasnoscia i owocowa slodyczka.

anstei (2448) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - JUL 4, 2017
375ml, bottled on 02/05/2014, many thanks to SinH4! Pours cloudy cherry red with almost no head, no lacings. Aroma is super strong cherry, stone, soft vinegar. Body is medium, pleasantly sour and tart, with almost no carbonation. Like a cherry syrup in all the best ways. Quite sweet and fruity, with an acidity to bring the sweetness down to a healthy level. Still a little bit sticky. Long fruity palate, a tad too sour to enjoy it without breaks. Very good, yet having subtle flaws here and there.
