3 Fonteinen (Oude) Kriekenlambik is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on young lambic for at least four months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic (and possibly blended with some more young lambic). Fruit intensity ranges from minimum 35% to 50%. Aside some selected bars (e.g. 20th Anniversary of Akkurat in Stockholm, Sweden), this sour cherry lambic is available at given times in the lambik-O-droom.

@ Lambik-o-droom
Beautiful ruby red color. Robust kriek-aroma. Unfiltered Lambiek with kriek in your face. Kriekenjam. Woody. Very nice kriekenpit wryness. Bitter (in a nice way) aftertaste.

Habanero (4876) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2017
Bottled. Pours clear red with an average pinkish head. Aroma of cherries, citrus, vinegar notes and some funk. Slightly sweet taste tat ends up dry and quite tart. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft to average carbonation. An excellent lambic indeed. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Toer de Gueze 2017. Draught at 3 Fonteinen lambik-O-droom. Deep red with pinkish head. The aroma has notes of raspberry, yeasts, wood and strawberry, syrupy. Sour flavor with notes of raspberry pie, wood and lemon, a bit acidic. Dry, flat, medium-bodied. Great stuff.

teorn88 (8066) - Rimini, ITALY - NOV 8, 2016
Draft at the brewery from a decanter. It pours a clean deep ruby color with a small bubbly pink head. Aroma is funky lemony fruity sweet with plenty of cherries and grassy notes. Taste is also fruity and lightly funky grassy tart lemony, more cherries and almonds. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, tasty

dimeon (491) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - SEP 23, 2016
A: Pours deep ruby red with little fizz and no head.little fizz and no head.
N: Overwhelming horse blanket with only a faint hint of cherry.
T: Horse blanket again with almost no detectable cherry now. Bracingly sour. Lemon notes appear.
P: Little bit of cherry and sherbet try to make an appearance before horse blanket and farmyard smells take over again, going into a long, lingering sourness.
O: Always a privilege to drink an artisanal lambic, and this one is right up there with the best I have tasted.
