COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
3 Fonteinen (Oude) Kriekenlambik is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on young lambic for at least four months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic (and possibly blended with some more young lambic). Fruit intensity ranges from minimum 35% to 50%. Aside some selected bars (e.g. 20th Anniversary of Akkurat in Stockholm, Sweden), this sour cherry lambic is available at given times in the lambik-O-droom.

Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17

375 ml bottle, bottled 24/05/17. Thanks to Werckmeister!
Dark red body, with a small, frothy, pink head.
Aroma of sweet-sour cherries, some dark berries, citrus, smooth barrel, overripe fruits, some leather, some funk.
Tastes similar, with some more vinegar.
Medium, a bit velvety mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium dry, wooden, subtly sweet, with lots of cherries, blueberry skin, ripe fruits, subtle leather.

Really tasty. Not as dry and acidic as other Krieks, also with some sweetness and most of all super fruity. Lovely, smooth barrel notes throughout and overall greatly balanced. Although Kriek isn't my preferred Lambic style usually, I enjoyed this a lot, very elegant and smooth to drink.

Erzengel (10257) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - APR 21, 2018
37.5cl bottle. Smooth sourish beginning. The cherries are very mild and deep, round and refreshing. Smooth sourish sherries, the lambic is smooth, depth with a great fruity cherry aftertaste. Deep and nice.

37.5cl bottle shared with Erzengel. A clear dark reddish purple beer with a small white head. Aroma of tart cherries, lactic fruits, jam. Taste of tart cherries, cherrie pie, cookies, lactose, refreshing, nice!

Koszyk wiśni pod końską derką, lekki lambik, nie tak kwaśny i intensywny jak choćby "intense red", ale szczery.

Bottle at the beach. Assemblage n 32 season 16/17. It’s warm and sunny, it’s a thursday before lunchtime and I’m drinking cherry lambic to ease the spikes of last night’s roof terrace tasting. I’m not complaining. Hazy cherry red and little pinkish bubbles on top. Sweet and rich cooked cherries, black cherries, sour red cherries, mild cherry stones, marzipan, some mossy, moldy and woody barnyard notes. Moderate warming sweet, dry bitter and light sour. Medium body and low carbonation. Pretty nice. Less sour than I expected.

37.5cl bottle, courtesy of derA, quite fresh. Pours deep red with a pinkish head. Aroma is cherries, some stone, some funk but almost no Brett or pigs. Body is medium, straight to the point, no fuzz. Fizzy carbonation though, medium sourness. Low vinegar and balsamico, but there is some. Cherries with barely any stone. Quite pure in taste without compromising on complexity. Fresh and tasty. Very good!

375ml bottle (thanks FatPhil and martjoobolut). Deep ruby red color. Medium size, pink head, stays. Cherries, sweet, sourish in aroma. Acidic, sour, hops and cherries in taste. Sour cherries and acidic in aftertaste. It is acidic but not sharp. Weird brew.
