UPDATED: FEB 4, 2012 My 2300th rating: 75cl bottle. Bottled December 1998. Pours slight unclear orange amber with a good white lasting foam. Plenty of carbonation still. The aroma is smooth and mellow, Sour, dusty, acidic and grapes. Complex and wonderfully balanced. Barnyard and woody notes. Smooth and full bodied. Dry and crisp. So mellow, smooth and complex. Worth the wait, time and money. Hell yeah. Re-rate: Bottle @ Too many geuze’s only one toilet, Ulfborg 2012. Mould and cellar. Aged. Barnyard and dust. Subdued and smooth. If you have a bottle drink it now! KimJohansen (10497) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2008
Hazy amber with lhuge off white head. Sour aroma with notes of barnyard, wood, leather and horseblanket. Sour flavour with barnyard, grapefruit, horseblanket, leather and woody notes. Sour finish. Thanks yespr! Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2008
(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with a fine little creamy off-white head leaving laces. Classic gueuze aroma of horse blanket and manure. Medium body with very dry Brett accents, fruitiness and even a light underlying bitterness. A very mellow gueuze which is pleasantly drinkable and not excessively sour. 211008

RB#7000 / RB BE #1000: 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a slowly collapsing tan head. Smooth barnyard and earthy aroma with a mild acidic bite in the nose. Dry and wooden flavoured with a nice acidic to citric dry base flavour. Starts with a smooth finish slowly decending into a nice acidic to citric finish. Dry and wooden into the far finish. Extremely smooth. thewolf (12803) - Kolding, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2008
Bottle. [thank you sooo much, Yespr]MiP (15973) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2008
Pours a muddy, pale orange with no head to speak of. Aroma has oranges, good tartness, apples, wood and a slight spicy sweet edge. Light, soft carbonation, pretty dry, but with a stunning creaminess and softness. The flavour is wonderfully fruity, some oranges, good tartness, super oakiness, a touch of vanilla and very dry. Very good, especially the mouthfeel.
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2009 Bottle, 7%. Thank you, yespr. Very nice citric aroma, seems to have a little fruit. Cloudy dark orange colour. Good citric flavour, some yeast. Good dry aftertaste, very well-rounded. Nice mouthpuckering, but nice and sour, yet mild and round. 9 3 8 3 19

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2008 Bottle. [Tasting @ Papsoe 20-10-2008] Vintage 1998. Huge fin bubbled white head that mostly lasted. Excellent display of lacework. Cloudy golden color. Aroma of leather, barnyard, vinegar, fruit, wheat. Heavy complexity with notes of vinegar, citrus, leather, mild soap, perfume. Very smooth and almost creamy texture which I guess is quite unique for a Geuze. Quite full bodied with a surprisingly sparkling carbonation and very dry texture. Moderated acidic flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering dry and smooth sour finish. Huge thanks to Jesper for this one! fordest (2469) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - OCT 8, 2008
Sampled at RBSG. Wow the funk and sour. Wonderful aromas of tart and sour fruits. Flavors were acidic and lip puckering. Good good sour.
