RB#7000 / RB BE #1000: 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a slowly collapsing tan head. Smooth barnyard and earthy aroma with a mild acidic bite in the nose. Dry and wooden flavoured with a nice acidic to citric dry base flavour. Starts with a smooth finish slowly decending into a nice acidic to citric finish. Dry and wooden into the far finish. Extremely smooth.

[Sampled January 2004] The aroma is fantastic; sour and wild fermentation at its best. The color is orange and it has a beutiful head. The flavor is sour yet sweet at the same time with strong notes of the wild fermentation. A fantastic beer.

Bottle at De Herren van Liedekercke. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Barnyard aroma with grapefruit and wood. Acidic flavor with grapefruits and some hints of wood. Long nice sourness in the aftertaste. Lovely.

[email protected], Stockholm. Hazy orange colour, big white head. Aroma is sour fruits, earth and bigtime sourness. Flavour is really balanced wood, sourness and some dry & sour fruits. Really much wood and sourness in the finish and aftertaste.

Bottled. Deep reddish golden with lively head. Citric acid and wood up front. Strikingly malty and full bodied for a geuze. Complex flavour with cobweb and grass. The mouthfeel is however a bit bold and clean. A very interesting beer, but if you really want a superb Drie Fonteinen, go for their Kriek van Schaarbeekse Krieken.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with a fine little creamy off-white head leaving laces. Classic gueuze aroma of horse blanket and manure. Medium body with very dry Brett accents, fruitiness and even a light underlying bitterness. A very mellow gueuze which is pleasantly drinkable and not excessively sour. 211008

Bottle shared at Sour & Bitter. Very hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Light dry palate., a little soft. Mildly woody. Mild orange citrus. Mild sourness. Pretty dry finish with mild sourness in the aftertaste. An approachable Gueuze for a non sour lover but really not getting all the stellar marks, no change there then!

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2010 nimbleprop’s quote of the evening: "Millennium shits on Yellow bus!" 750 ml bottle brought to Epic Sour tasting 2010. Clear golden color, large fluffy white head. Aroma of white pepper, dust, sweat. Taste is tart and dry, citrus, great body. Very nice, but tastes below its hype. 4.2 Second tasting, at 3-F tasting with Armand and his wife. Much better body, more dry, lots more must and grapefruit. Revised to 4.6
