COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
(transl.) In big oak casks, more than 100 years of age, lambic ripens. Specially for you, the best of lambics have been selected, blended, and bottled. By refermentation in the bottle Millennium was created, the superior geuze! Geuze Millennium has been bottled in the autumn of 1998. It contains only wheat, malt and hops. Not pasteurised and spontaneously refermented in the bottle.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2009 From a 75cl bottle; vintage 1998. Pours a light hazy full gold color with a fantastic amount of lasting Champagne foaming head. Aroma is a little musty with that slight note of horseblanket bouquet. Taste was very light and refreshing, sour notes where not that present for what I like in a Gueuze, still a very satisfying brew that I could drink all day. The mouthfeel was well-balanced with medium to light acidity, and nice lemony Brett tingle. Without question is a classic!! Re-rate: 25 May 09 Was lucky enough to sample this wonderful brew again; thanks to Ryan(Rciesla)! Aroma again like I remembered; musty with a slight note of horseblanket! Taste was light and refreshing with some sour notes along with a little lemon zest. A very refreshing Gueuze which will keep on getting better with time; still not quite as good as the 50th Anniversary or 1999 Gueuze!

Golden orange, high carb. Nose is cobwebs, tart funky citrus, some oxidization. Taste is tart funky citrus, lemon rind, tangy. Tart tangy finish.

Bottled. 15cl sample. Many thanks to PotjeBier. :-) The aroma has overripe apples, wood, soft horseblankets and funk, little citrus, hint of cork. Bit hazy, orange coloured epicness with a medium sized, off-white and even lasting head. The taste is above average sour from mostly citric acids and some lactics. Soft and smooth overall. Well preserved beer. A joy to be able to taste this gem.

This bottle has been sitting in my closet for over 16 years, so it was about time...As promised long ago, shared with de Rooie Dop crew (NoiZe, Caesar & Skortila) & Bierkonijn. Cork comes out easily with a good pop. Pour a hazy golden yellow color. As good as white head, firm, a bit frothy. Delicate geuze aromas: sourness, ripe apples, wood, a hint of sweetness even, light cork and fortunately not much brett funkiness. Flavor is moderate to full sour, but soft, not sharp at all. Light to medium bodied. Long finish, sourness remains, along with some wood. Like I expected, nothing but a good, nice tasting geuze.

Bottle thx to Potjebier, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma of mellowed horseblanket and barnyard, soft funky notes, bit cork, soft aging notes. We put a fresh 3F oude geuze next to it, which had far more green and leafy hops in the nose and was sharper and more sour in taste. Millennium was soft in flavor, smooth sourness, slight citric and slight lactic. Well balanced, and kept good for more than 16 years. Ofc extra points for lambic rarity. Thx to Potjebier for this whale!

CBCNOR bottleshare at Himmeriget, may 12th 2016. Dark golden body with no head. Aroma of barnyard, honey, vanilla ice, lemon, funk. Tart and sour taste with spices, pastry, almond, cheese. Sour and funky finish. Pretty good stuff, layers of new characteristics for each sip. Glad to have tried it!

Aroma is extremely funky, barnyard, earthy dusty cellar, cobwebs, tart lemony, citrussy, sweet orange, forrest floor, minty, spice. Taste is citrussy, funky, barnyard, tannic, sweet orange, tart lemony, minty, subtle oxidation.

Shared at himmeriget by a crazy American. Pours hazy golden. Aroma of funk, barn, sour, complex cellar, cowebs, earthy cellar. Taste is rather funky, barn, oxidations, still fruity, lemon. Taste iscellar funk, barn, citrusy. Leasing to funk, oxidation.

750 mL bottle. Big head. Deep orange. Smells oxidized. Citrus. Deep oakiness. Oxidization kinda overpowers, though. Tastes brighter. Lemon. Some orange. Oxidation behind it. Oak. A little cardboard. High carbonation. Swirling helps. Oxidation is tough to get past, but its nice.
