37.5cl heavy-glassed green bottle. Bottled 17/2/11 (BB 2/21). ABV 6%. Hazy deep amber appearance, white head doesn’t last long. Definite funky aromas, horseblanket, musty vinous oak barrels, orchard apples, a whiff of sweaty socks. Palate is vinous, definitely sour, almost vineragy, dry and tart. Not overpowering though and quite refreshing after a few sips. Medium bodied and slick on the tongue. A fine example of the style.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2018 Bottle, shared by SinH4. Medium, stable white head on a cloudy amber body. Burnt gum, bread crust, apples. Light sweetness, turns astringent and dry. Medium body, super soft carbonation. A bit too astringent, with a bit too much tire fire to be balanced. kiwey (24) - AUSTRIA - MAR 17, 2018

375 ml bottle, bottled 12.03.2014 at 7.5% ABV in Lambic blind tasting at Werckmeister's place. Many thanks to Werckmeister, Saeglopur and Sander for sharing! Pours a clear dark golden color with a small, quickly disappearing white head. The aroma is funky with horse blanket, grapes and wood. Medium body with a soft carbonation, a light to medium sourness and a light tartness. Lots of wood in the flavor together with sour berries, grapes, leather and horse blanket. Finishes dry with more wood. Overall balanced albeit some kind of harsh - still excellent.

375 ml bottle during a blind tasting, side by side with different A&G blends and the Oude Geuze. Bottled 12/01/2014. Thanks to Werckmeister!
Amber-golden, clear body, with a big, frothy, light yellow head.
Aroma of funk, horse blanket, oak, green apples, unripe pears, some cheese, some citrus.
Tastes similar, while a bit lighter, but also pretty tart.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes tart, dry, wooden, medium sour, slightly funk, with unripe pears, green apples,
Tasty. Dry and tart, but still well balanced, with a good complexity. Enjoyed the best A&G blends a bit more and also the Oude Geuze, but still another very lovely, round one.
Deep orange gold colour. Large, puffy head. Aroma is boatloads of funky barnyard goodness with some lemon and wood for good measure. Taste is expectedly sour with some lemon and green apples. Listigovers (1420) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 8, 2018
Light gold slightly hszy. Smells ridiculous, really musty and funky, a bit of licorice or some over ripe prune, some caramel. Taste is hugely funky but somewhat bright, fairly smooth, very dry. Abit of an oil in the texture. Lots of wood, some tannic character. Yum. melush (5344) - SPAIN - JAN 3, 2018
