The Golden Blend is made with 4 year old Lambic that accounts for 25 % of it’s contents, the rest of the blend is made up by a "secret" combination of 1, 2 and 3 year old Lambic.

The exact mixture is only known by the master-blender Armand himself.

The name "Golden Blend" is not far away from the truth, in fact, the 4 years of maturation in oak-wooden barrels is making this particular Lambic very expensive.

Due to the "evaporation" through the barrels, only a small percentage of the lambic is left over after 4 years of maturing.

The 2015 version (bottle date 12/03/2014) has 7.5% ABV (although some labels say 6%)

Bottle, pours a nice golden, aroma of some good barnyard funk and lots of brett notes, the flavour is nice and tart prob a bit more tart then the regular oude. It is overall, with the try, but definitely a bit pricy.

Mooie oranje kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt zurig, vanille. Smaakt zurig, droog, tikkeltje bitter.

Brussels Trip. Backlog. Our bottle (2016) tasted more like czech pils than a gueze. Herbs, cereal, hay, grass, some leather. Light bitter, light sour.

375ml bottle at Alex’s (thx, man!) with Jamey. Bottled on 2011-02-17. Pours a hazy golden with a weak white head. Aroma is very fruity and slightly earthy. Taste is similar with funky notes. Quite tart. Very nice.

W aromacie dużo orzechów włoskich i skórzanego paska, ogólnie przyjemnie. W smaku natomiast już więcej niż przyjemnie. Znowu dużo skórzanego paska, mocno dojrzały orzech włoski, jest też pestka z winogrona. Wszystko na najwyższym poziomie intensywności, cudowny lambik.

From bottle (12/03/2014: 6%) in Belgian ale glass. Pours amber with billowing head and woody aroma mixed with citrus and rubber. Forward grapefruit tartness followed by earthy/woody notes that become more pronounced as it warms.

0.75l bottle, release february 2016: Pours golden, slightly haze, with long lasting fluffy white head. Aroma: horsey, goaty, leathery, phenols from brett, fruity esters, acid notes. Flavour: acidic, sour, with fruity esters and other characteristics mentioned above by aroma. Very dry, sour mouthfeel. Light body, soft texture, (very) high carbonation. Overall: very good just price is too high (Etre G.).

375 ml bottle shared by AdamChandler. The aroma is strong oak, mld barnyard, mild acid. The flavor has lasting oak, slightly sour, maybe a funky citrus.

This shows a medium bodied with a soft carbonation. The flavor is really something. Almost to much funky oak for my own tastes. Bold for sure.

Bottle pour at Lambiczoon in Milan. I like many styles of beer - thought I liked gueze - but something about this doesn't sit right with me. Aroma is sour. Nice. Pours a cloudy amber. Flavor is super sour and super bitter, but with a really strange aftertaste - amost like stale overcooked rice. I may just not have the palate for it.
