Ratman197 (14946) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 7, 2011
Green corked and caged bottle Vintage 2004 poured a hazy tarnished gold with as small lasting ivory head. Aromas of lemon, straw and barnyard. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of straw, lemon, yeast and barnyard funk with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering funky finish.

Scopey (14945) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2011
75cl bottle (dated 17/12/07) from White Horse, Parsons Green. It pours a golden yellow colour with moderate carbonation and a large foamy white head. The nose is farmyard, grape, lemon, lime, grapefruit and even some sour tomato. The taste is dominantly tart: lots of lime, lemon rind, grape, redcurrants, grapefruit and granny smith apples, which mellows out to slightly sweeter notes of red apples and pears. It’s complex, very well balanced and smooth. Absolutely brilliant stuff and one of the best beers I’ve tasted.

Hazy golden gueuze with a thin white head. Wonderful aroma of sweet ground cherries, leather, dust, and basement. In mouth, a restrained gueuze ewith light cherries, tart, gypsum and lactic acid. A smooth gueuze, a bit lighter than expected but very good. Enjoyed with the Mtl Crew Sept. 9, 2006.

kermis (13657) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 27, 2014
Bottle shared 2007 vintage, finally getting to try this beer. Pours hazy golden amber with an off white head. Aroma of dank cellar, cobwebs, barnyard, light horse blanket, tart fruits and light wood. Flavour is light sweet and moderate acidic. Soft in the palate with a beautiful subdued tart fruitiness and soft perfectly balanced funk. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Simply amazing. Awesome.

Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw, meal), light hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (horse blanket, earth) with notes of grapes and cask. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a sour finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and sourness.

bierkoning (13387) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUN 23, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2010 Bottled, 375 ml, 07.03.2002. Oak, honey, lemon and a hint of pepper in the perfect aroma. Sour flavor, but an eased down sourness, not too harsh. Oak, lemon, grapefruit, raspberry. Still some sharp edges, that need to be eased down by further cellaring. Great balance, great potential. Very long oaky and citric aftertaste. Close to perfection, I wish I’d bought more bottles. Bottle 375 ml, vintage 2-2005. Special label. Honey, lemon and sewer in the aroma. Sour flavor with sewer, lemon, grapefruit, oak, honey and rubber. Very complex and especially aromatic, but the aftertaste is too rubbery. (8 4 8 3 16 = 3.9)
